It's a busy little place, offering a solid cafe menu, coffee, and reliable Wi-Fi. The owners are hands-on, helping out behind the counter and supporting staff with clean-up, which makes the space feel welcoming and well-run. Being in a shopping center, parking is available but can be limited depending on the time of day. The inside is small, but the layout works well for small groups. They have conference-style tables, high tops, and charging ports. During the festive season, the cozy decor adds a cheerful touch. The staff were approachable and helpful, answering our questions clearly. They serve all-day brunch, sandwiches, flatbreads, salads, and bowls, so there's something for everyone. My friend tried the omelet with toast and really enjoyed it. I went for the Carmela pancake. Honestly, I expected a bit more for $14. It was a small cornbread skillet topped with strawberries, blueberries, granola, and maple syrup. It looked great, but I felt it wasn't worth the price; a sandwich might have been a better choice, but the staff had recommended this. We also had a small misunderstanding where I was charged for both dishes as we discussed options, but the staff were prompt in correcting it and issuing a refund. Drinks included a Matcha and a Tiramisu, with dairy-free options available. The coffee was rich and smooth. I'm not a huge coffee drinker, but I genuinely enjoyed it. Overall, the cafe has a relaxed, cozy vibe. It's the kind of place where you can work, catch up with friends, there was even a small group having Bible study on the patio. The next time my husband went in, there was no record of turning in the card, and the person said they couldn't help him. I wasn't with him otherwise I would've put up more of a fuss. Great Food, but Very Disappointing Service I really wanted…read moreto continue supporting About a Cup because I genuinely enjoy their food. Unfortunately, after five visits with my family, the repeated issues with my drink orders and my most recent experience with the service have left me extremely disappointed. Every time I order my tea, I clearly explain exactly how I want it: milk tea made with milk, not water, with two Splendas. This is not a complicated order, yet every single time my drink has been made incorrectly. After having the same issue repeatedly, I understandably became frustrated. What made this visit particularly upsetting was the way the situation was handled. Instead of trying to understand why I was frustrated or simply correcting the order, the person in charge, CiCi, came out to confront me. I found her tone and approach extremely condescending and unprofessional. As a customer who has returned five times and continued giving this business another chance, I expected to be treated with courtesy and respect--not made to feel as though I was the problem for pointing out a repeated mistake. I want to emphasize that the food is very good, which is exactly why my family and I kept coming back. However, good food alone cannot make up for consistently incorrect orders and poor customer service. I hope management takes this feedback seriously. Customers should be able to politely explain how they want their order prepared, especially after experiencing the same mistake multiple times, without being confronted or spoken to in a condescending manner. Sadly, after five visits and five opportunities to get a simple drink order right, this experience has made me reconsider returning.
