    I love this trac

If there's a pop hit built around the backdrop of the Indy 500 that would be a Race Track. Petrol is fairly cheap in Atlanta and this place, which is near where we stayed the first night in the far NE suburbs, is clean and spacious and about average price for the area. The pumps are usually empty, at least they were each time we were up and down this road, including filling up the tank here. Satisfied and no complaints.

Secure box through which you have to conduct business at night.

No coffee through secure box at night. So, don't show up expecting coffee. Sorry fellow rideshare drivers! No bathroom no coffee.

This fuel…read morecenter is located next to Costco's Gwinnett warehouse in Duluth, just off I-85 exits 103 (Steve Reynolds Blvd) and 104 (Pleasant Hill Rd). Since it's not too far from the interstate, this Costco gas station is in a fairly good and convenient location. Costco is popular and busy in general. The Costco in Duluth is one of the busiest Costco stores I've visited anywhere. This Costco gas station has the most pumps I've seen at any Costco gas station that I can recall (or perhaps tied with the most I've seen). It has 18 pumps. There are six lanes with three pumps per lane. Costco's fuel pumps are designed so you can pull up to any pump, regardless of which side your gas cap is on. The pump hoses are long enough to reach over or around most vehicles. Like every other Costco gas station I've been to, this one offers only two types of Kirkland Signature Gasoline: Regular 87 and Premium 93. Costco gas prices always beat the competition, so if you want the lowest-price gas, Costco gas stations are the place to go. Just note that Costco gas stations are strictly for filling up only, nothing else. There's nothing to wash your windshield, no air for your tires, and no convenience store. Costco uses Top Tier Detergent Gasoline and you can tap to pay with your card or phone. Fill-ups are fast, efficient, easy, and low-cost. This Costco gas station is open Monday-Friday, 6am-9pm and Saturday-Sunday, 7am-7pm.

This location has 18 pumps, and it's located away from the Costco Warehouse store, and also away from the street. This allows customers to properly get in line without disrupting the traffic flows. Many customers have not yet noticed that each pump has a corresponding pump light that can be seen by all drivers waiting in line. When a pump is actively being used, the light turns red. When a pump is not actively being used, the light turns green. When it's green, the next customer waiting in line can drive forward to the next open pump in the line he/she is in. In order to use the gas pumps at Costco, the customers must have a membership card (which can also be a Costco brand credit card) that they have to scan/insert at the pump to begin the transaction. All you get here is fuel and nothing else.

Murphy USA - Outside. There's a tiny convenience store and 8 pumps on-site. There's also an ATM and pay machines with air for your tires and vacuums.

This is…read moreMurphy store #7073 and it's actually located on North Berkeley Lake Road, not Pleasant Hill Road (the station has a Pleasant Hill Road street address). It's not far from where the two roads intersect. The gas here was CHEAP. I filled up on premium for $3.049 per gallon while the catty-corner RaceTrac was selling premium for $3.259. Murphy's regular was $2.549 while RaceTrac's was $2.759. Why is the gas at RaceTrac $0.21 more? I know one difference is RaceTrac and most other big name brands offer Top Tier Detergent gasoline. Murphy doesn't. The station is small. It isn't as nice nor as spacious and comfortable as a RaceTrac or QuikTrip. There are only 8 pumps on the lot and it can get congested. The convenience store is tiny. They do have a restroom for customer use and it's located outside (a single unisex restroom). There's an ATM on-site as well as a pay-machine with air for your tires and a vacuum if you want to clean your car. Diesel fuel is available. The displays on the pumps can be hard to read. They're also a bit confusing. They show two prices for each grade of fuel: a "discount price" and an unlabeled, higher price. I assumed you got the discount price if you used a special Walmart or Murphy USA card or something. I didn't use a special card and I still got the discounted price. What's the point of showing two prices then? To show that you've saved money? What's the non-discounted price based on? Unlike RaceTrac and QuikTrip, this station is not open 24/7. If gas is all you need and you don't mind potentially battling for a pump, Murphy USA fits the bill.

It's not far from I-85 Exits 103 (Steve Reynolds Blvd) and 104 (Pleasant Hill Rd), sandwiched in between 678 Korean BBQ (an excellent Korean BBQ restaurant) and a Waffle House. QT is pretty much the only gas station I go to in Atlanta these days because of their low gas prices, reliability, and multiple pump availability. The free air for your tires is always a nice plus too. This QT has 16 pumps. It's one of the older QTs (Generation 1 I believe), not a Gen3 like the relatively newer stores at Buford Highway near I-285, Chamblee Tucker Rd near I-85, and Clairmont Rd near I-85. That's fine though because when I'm at an Atlanta QT, I'm only concerned with getting gas quickly and don't really care about the convenience store's food and drink offerings. Specials I've seen at this store include 79-cent "Big Qs," 32-ounce cups you can fill with the fountain beverage of your choice, and $1 hot dogs. Yeehaw. The QT Kitchen has hot sandwiches, personal pizzas, hot pretzels, and frozen treats that compete admirably with Dairy Queen's Blizzard and McDonald's McFlurry. Some of the machines have been scratched up and vandalized and the receipt printers don't always work. However, for the most part, this is an A-OK, clean and safe gas station. Service is great, a hallmark of the QT brand. The staff is friendly and efficient. The next closest QT is also on Satellite Blvd, less than a mile northeast, near Gwinnett Place Mall. It's store #746. That QT is the same vintage/generation as this one, but with two less pumps. Womp womp.
