At the time of writing this review, there are 12 Costco gas stations in metro Atlanta. This fuel center is located next to Costco's Gwinnett warehouse in Duluth, just off I-85 exits 103 (Steve Reynolds Blvd) and 104 (Pleasant Hill Rd). Since it's not too far from the interstate, this Costco gas station is in a fairly good and convenient location. Costco is popular and busy in general. The Costco in Duluth is one of the busiest Costco stores I've visited anywhere. This Costco gas station has the most pumps I've seen at any Costco gas station that I can recall (or perhaps tied with the most I've seen). It has 18 pumps. There are six lanes with three pumps per lane. Costco's fuel pumps are designed so you can pull up to any pump, regardless of which side your gas cap is on. The pump hoses are long enough to reach over or around most vehicles. Like every other Costco gas station I've been to, this one offers only two types of Kirkland Signature Gasoline: Regular 87 and Premium 93. Costco gas prices always beat the competition, so if you want the lowest-price gas, Costco gas stations are the place to go. Just note that Costco gas stations are strictly for filling up only, nothing else. There's nothing to wash your windshield, no air for your tires, and no convenience store. Costco uses Top Tier Detergent Gasoline and you can tap to pay with your card or phone. Fill-ups are fast, efficient, easy, and low-cost. I like that Costco Fuel Centers always have good quality gas that's less expensive than just about all other gas stations. This location has 18 pumps, and it's located away from the Costco Warehouse store, and also away from the street. This allows customers to properly get in line without disrupting the traffic flows. Many customers have not yet noticed that each pump has a corresponding pump light that can be seen by all drivers waiting in line. When a pump is actively being used, the light turns red. When a pump is not actively being used, the light turns green. When it's green, the next customer waiting in line can drive forward to the next open pump in the line he/she is in. In order to use the gas pumps at Costco, the customers must have a membership card (which can also be a Costco brand credit card) that they have to scan/insert at the pump to begin the transaction. What can you do but give all-things-Costco 5 stars, especially when it comes to gassing up. This one was in Atlanta when we were up there, the location being reasonably close to a couple of dim-sum places, making it a two-fer type of longer drive away from our place downtown where our daughter/fam live. I'm even torn on my one pet peeve with Costco gas - I hate that I can't even clean my windows when I gas up, let alone other amenities (think Wawa's air pump for your tires), but recognize that, if there are such provisions, it might get messy, and the wait could become longer (they COULD have it AWAY from the pumps!) So for now, I'm not even going to whine about that too much, but it would be a very nice add. read more

Update: 2/19/20 - I visited a few more times and it has been better. However, I would not recommend coming here on the weekend or right after work. If possible, come during the middle of the day and the lines are about 5 minutes. Last week I purchased gas and the gas here was about 20 cents cheaper than my local Kroger ($2.08). read more

This gas station is amazing. The prices are always significantly lower than all the other gas stations. I would recommend going when there isn't so many people because it could get a bit hectic. I love costco gas stations because they offer the long hose so you could go through any side and it'll reach your gas tank. They always have an attendant available, so if you need any help, you could always flag them down. Overall a great place to get gas! read more

I mean what can I say, it's gas. You can't possibly mess that up & the only way to improve it is to make it cheaper which Costco does. I definitely appreciate paying a cheaper price considering that gas is almost $3 a gallon or higher in some parts of the country. Parking - not applicable. You're here to get gas not shop as there is no convenience store. Now if you do need to park, there's more than enough in the parking lot for Costco's warehouse. Ambiance - again, it's a gas station, lol! But it's clean & safe. Also, Costco has long hoses so if you forget which side your tank is on, the hose will reach to the other side so don't fret. Price - usually five to ten cents lower than your regular gas station. That's a plus, especially if you drive a lot. read more

This one of the best benefit of getting a Costco membership. Cheap Gas!! Prices are 5-10 cents cheaper than quicktrip or Kroger in the area. Yes you have to be a member to gain access. They open early lie 6 am on week days and close 30 mins after the store close. Visa ,Debt and Costco cash card is the only method of payment .There always They sell regular and premium gas(no midgrade here) . There is only one way going in the station. Due to that there are extra long hose that can streach to the other side of the vehicle. Typicaly there is one staff on site to assist or clean up spills, Wait times are longer during weekends and after 4pm. read more

You can never go wrong with Costco. Whether it's groceries to home goods to miscellaneous things, Costco is my new Target. But even better than Target? The cheap gas! The member perks are great. There's always a line during peak hours, aka after work. Basically from 5:30-maybe 30 minutes before closing, expect at least a one car wait. This is not your in and out gas station, but if you're a member with an extra few minutes to kill, by all means, save those pennies! The service is usually better at Costco Fuel Centers. While, yes, it's self-service, there is always one Costco employee standing there to answer your questions or help guide your waiting car forward to the next available gas pump. They always seem to be pretty friendly. There are pumps for left and right side gas tanks. Even so, the pumps can stretch to the other side of your car if you can't wait for one side or the other. Overall, I can't help but get gas from Costco. The money savings and the convenience are apparent. Go ahead and get your gas on at Costco Fuel Center (they have to go and make it a fuel center, not a gas station...) read more
