Overall while it appeared sketchy (they may want to put a sign on actual building) it served its purpose for us.

Today I paid $2.83 per gallon after my Kroger Plus discount of .10...I've paid more, so I was happy! The pumps are in decent shape and the surrounding areas were kept clear of clutter and trash for the most part. Two of the trash cans in the area were over flowing and needed to be emptied. This is…read moreMurphy store #7073 and it's actually located on North Berkeley Lake Road, not Pleasant Hill Road (the station has a Pleasant Hill Road street address). It's not far from where the two roads intersect. The gas here was CHEAP. I filled up on premium for $3.049 per gallon while the catty-corner RaceTrac was selling premium for $3.259. Murphy's regular was $2.549 while RaceTrac's was $2.759. Why is the gas at RaceTrac $0.21 more? I know one difference is RaceTrac and most other big name brands offer Top Tier Detergent gasoline. Murphy doesn't. The station is small. It isn't as nice nor as spacious and comfortable as a RaceTrac or QuikTrip. There are only 8 pumps on the lot and it can get congested. The convenience store is tiny. They do have a restroom for customer use and it's located outside (a single unisex restroom). There's an ATM on-site as well as a pay-machine with air for your tires and a vacuum if you want to clean your car. Diesel fuel is available. The displays on the pumps can be hard to read. They're also a bit confusing. They show two prices for each grade of fuel: a "discount price" and an unlabeled, higher price. I assumed you got the discount price if you used a special Walmart or Murphy USA card or something. I didn't use a special card and I still got the discounted price. What's the point of showing two prices then? To show that you've saved money? What's the non-discounted price based on? Unlike RaceTrac and QuikTrip, this station is not open 24/7. If gas is all you need and you don't mind potentially battling for a pump, Murphy USA fits the bill.

It's in between and roughly equidistant to Peachtree Industrial Boulevard and Pleasant Hill Road, so it's in a pretty strategic and busy location as far as western Gwinnett County is concerned. It's only a few miles away from the Chattahoochee River (the dividing line), North Fulton, and Johns Creek. If the newest and latest round of QTs that started popping up around metro Atlanta in 2012 are known as "Gen 3" QTs, then I'd consider this QT a Gen 2. It's an older generation QT, but it's not among the oldest I've seen. The convenience store is smaller than its younger, sexier siblings, but the gas station is bright, clean, and spacious - a standard we've come to expect from QT. This is one of the best gas stations in the neighborhood and the gas prices are competitive. QT uses Top Tier Detergent Gasoline which is a higher quality gasoline. At the time of writing this review, this QT is one of only eight QTs in metro Atlanta that offers ethanol-free fuel (red handle). They carry diesel too (green handle). If you're hungry, the strip mall next door has two very good and authentic Chinese (Sichuan) restaurants: Masterpiece and Xin's Chinese Cuisine.
