In truth, I'd been walking past Eye See almost daily since moving into the neighborhood and liked the idea of supporting a small business. They accepted my insurance, so I made an appointment. It was a wonderful experience right from the start. I sent the exam information my last eye doctor provided along with my insurance info. On appointment day, they were not only ready but extremely understanding when I was a little late. (I don't make a habit of being late, but am grateful that they understood!) The entire exam was extremely thorough, and opting for the retinal image (instead of pupil dilation) is definitely worth it: I returned to my home office and immediately resumed work with no blurred vision - hurray! Dr. Becherer took time to carefully examine my eyes and my current glasses/contacts, reviewed my eye history thoroughly, and made good suggestions for my specific eye situation. I picked glasses (super cute selection!), and with Marina's assistance got those ordered and got reconnected with the contact lens manufacturer, so great continuity of care. I have not yet received glasses or contacts, but based on today's experience, don't foresee any issues. Finally, I must mention the great tote bag I received - photo below. I am happy with today's results and recommend Eye See Ravenswood without hesitation.

I had a 12:15 pm appointment and came 22 minutes earlier and the receptionist told me that I'll get in if the noon appointment will not show up. after 12 o'clock a person came and apologized for missing his 11 o'clock appointment and they took him right away. After 15 minutes another lady who missed her appointment was taken before me. i was surprised that those who missed their appointments were honored at the expense of those who came on time! I understand the business is there to make money and believe those who missed their appointments would have waited longer than those who came on time and the business would still have made money. This is the last time I would go to this facility for my eye exam since they have no respect for time.

I also mailed a letter with a copy of the bill requesting the explanation, but received no response. Instead, I was sent a final notice threatening collections. They do have multiple front staff and an optician sat down with my daughter to go through the trays of frames that were covered. Efficiently, the optician picked on possibles to try on (that weren't obviously too big/small) and my daughter narrowed it down to two, and there was a clear favorite. Their staff had been very helpful over the phone, confirming coverage and suggesting when to visit to drop by (since an appointment isn't needed) but that they wanted to manage their customer traffic for COVID.
