I explained to them that my husband JUST started a new consulting job ( lucky to find one at age 70!) just 5 weeks ago, and we would not have the serious funds to pay for this (3rd) transmission for 4-5 weeks. I don't like to be talked down to, and that initial phone call felt alright enough for me to solidify an appointment. However, things just went down from there. The coon rapids location kept my car for almost two weeks before a tech was available to look at it. I understood that they were busy, but I had to call multiple times for updates, only to be told I was "next in line," and, "worst case scenario, we'll get to it on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday," etc. Turns out, this entire experience turned out to be full of worse case scenarios. Additionally, I felt like I was being talked down to at every turn. I may not know a lot about cars, but the overall tone of this experience was that I may as well stick with them because no other shop would be able to diagnose the problem. Long story short, I had to get a new car and just pay for the diagnosis, which sucked. AAMCO offered to get rid of my old car for me, and I was expecting at least a few hundred dollars for it, as is typical with junkyard deals, but they never gave me anything. Usually, I would push back and ask more questions, but by that point I was ready to close the deal and never speak to them again. Don't go here! Especially if you're a femme person. Stay far away.

These guys stripped every fastener in the wheel and rotor assemblies on my vehicle. They over…read moretorqued the wheels down to the point where my 1400 ft-lb electric impact could not take off the overtightened lug nuts. Additionally, the overtightened lug nuts warped my rotors. I had to go back and ask this shop to reinstall the wheels correctly. And finally, I now need an extractor kit just to replace the front rotors since the retainer screws are stripped. thx (i had recently replaced the retainer screws by hand, so I knew they were in good condition before this shop mangled them) And finally, they are way overpriced for this sort of service.

I know mistakes happen but it's the response that matters.They made it right in the end. I had to inflate all when I got home as they were 6# less than the truck specs and 11# less than the tire specs. Either way all were under inflated.4 out of 5 stars because of the great responsibility taken.
