I know, you think I'm making this up or that I'm related to them but honestly they're for real. Now, I'm not exactly in and out of there every week but the times I have been I've never had a bad or even a slightly 'off' experience. Course I wouldn't call a smear fun but the nurse who did it was great. When I needed a referral to Frimley they sorted it out so quickly, and the aftercare was so good I meant to send them a thank you card, but of course I forgot and I'd look mental if I sent it now

I have been recommended to Harley Street Health Centre by one of my colleagues. So I booked an appointment with Dr Abood. The consult lasted an hour, and included a chat about my symptoms, when they occur, ear & nose check, blood pressure and also had blood taken. Personally, even though I am in my mid 30's,I am really scarred of the needle, but the nurse was amazing. She distracted me by keeping my mind busy chatting, while she was drawing blood. Offered me water & advised to wait for couple of minutes before I leave. The whole experience was 5*. No rushing or looking at you like you are crazy because your palms & sole is itching at night, weirdly enough. So the next day I got my results. It was not as bad as I thought. Iron & Vitamin D deficiency. Something that can be fixed easily. So glad I went to the clinic, as my nose bleeds and itchyness have been haunting me for years. I am now taking my supplements & feeling much better. Will have another blood test done probably in 3-4 months.

I have seen the practice grown from two Portakabins into a modern, thriving practice with all the mod cons. Dr Moore needs a team of skilled practitioners, caring and professional nurses and without a doubt some of the most helpful, friendly and always professional receptionists in the business. At times it can be difficult to get an appointment but it is the NHS and they have more patience than they do money so sometimes a bit of patience goes a long way and remember the receptionists are just the messengers so there is no point in shouting at them and getting angry. All the patients are in the same part and we are all treated equally if someone has a more urgent and desperate case then they should of course be seen before somebody else or just has a rash or a cold. The surgery is centrally located on Bancroft right next door to a chemist which is handy for picking up prescriptions after you've paid a visit. The surgery itself is clean and efficient, with kiddy playthings to amuse them while you wait and their administration is good - sending reminder for vaccinations etc as and when they are due. My only gripe is the telephone booking system - if you need an appointment that day then you need to be on the phone at 8am sharp (not a second before or you'll get the answerphone) to stand a decent chance of getting an appointment.
