We had an electrical house fire that burned the entire attic. The water damage by the fire department was excessive. The house required full blown demolition and clean up - being stripped down to the studs and down to the sub floor. Complete removal of the remaining roof structure. Leaving an open top box of our house and see through walls. On a Sunday morning I mustered up the courage to call around for estimates. I left a message for three companies. Sam called me right away within the hour. The other company on Monday mid morning. The third company never called back. Sam had the heart to express his condolences for our loss and assured me that we would be taken care of. The other company was indifferent and calculating from the onset. This is what sets Rainbow apart from any other company. Rainbow was willing to work with us knowing we had no insurance to cover the cost. They beat the competitors estimate. I assure you they will out perform any company in the Central Valley. They go above and beyond in providing helping hands, consolation and strategizing when you just don't really know what to do and where to begin. They are professionals with heart, mind and soul. You won't meet better people in this world, in business or personally. Saiid and the crew of strong, courteous and respectful young men worked diligently and tirelessly. They came prepared with a positive attitude and willingness to help with all the miscellaneous extra help we needed. They helped move furniture and boxes and stuff that we just didn't have the strength or energy to do ourselves. Saiid and Sam are the salt of the earth. They are absolutely wonderful human beings. I am so grateful that God directed me to them. They have been a blessing to our family. They are forever in my heart and I am forever grateful for them seeing us through this entire experience. The interior of our house (or what remains of it) and the parameter outside was left completely clean. They sanded down the wood structure remaining and treated for mold. We are ready to rebuild. The pictures included are the progress of the work done to show the scope and magnitude of the disaster they handled with grace. Thank you Saiid, Sam and the entire team at Rainbow, you are loved and blessed always.

A representative from this company appeared at the property immediately after the fire department…read moreleft, not more than a minute after the trucks were out of sight. When she arrived she carried a clipboard with official-looking documents, came directly up to us, and entered our home to begin building what appeared to be a report. She presented herself in a way that implied she was part of the official process when dealing with a house fire. From the beginning she used alarming, fear-based language and trigger words to try to scare us into acting quickly. Each time I said "no thank you," she escalated and pushed harder. She referenced burglary and other worst-case scenarios while we were still processing the fire, which felt like a threat and an attempt to make us believe we were required to work with her. She also repeatedly claimed that having a contractor was "best practice" and warned that if we did not use one, the insurance company would significantly underpay our claim and that the process would be much harder and longer. She further insinuated that construction companies would charge us large amounts just to provide quotes if we tried to handle it on our own. When another contractor from a different company arrived, I brought both of them outside so everyone could be on the same page. At that point I had taken a step away to look into the company using ChatGPT, which indicated that they were there to secure the job and advised proceeding with caution and not signing anything. She then attempted to tell the other contractor to leave so she could speak with me alone. I said no, I would speak with them both. The other contractor gave calm, reasonable guidance about not cleaning the property and cautioned us about possible asbestos exposure. He then respectfully left the first time we said we would handle things on our own. After he walked away, she rolled her eyes and said, "He wasn't supposed to say that." Despite being told "no thank you" four separate times, she refused to leave. I ultimately had to say directly, "Get out of my house." Her behavior made it feel as though she was taking advantage of a family in a moment of shock and vulnerability. They are deceptive and not transparent. The way she presented herself blurred the line between private contractor and official authority, which was deeply unsettling. Proceed with extreme caution. These people only want the job contract. They do not have your best interest at heart. Do not sign anything. Contact your insurance first. What we experienced fits the pattern of predatory disaster chasers, and in many cases this type of conduct is illegal under state law. My heart aches for families who are in despair after a house fire and do not have the bandwidth, language access, or advocacy skills to question what is happening in those moments.

They payed attention to details and respected our wishes throughout the project. We appreciate all the workers and craftsmen who produced such quality work. And we cannot praise the office staff and project manager highly enough. The owners Alfredo and Imelda have a expert sense of how to hire the best people. We highly recommend Five Star Builders for the help and guidance to the customer, their professionalism at all times, and the beautiful house inside and out that has resulted from their efforts.

CPR was very responsive even though I managed to call after closing on a Friday afternoon. They called, made a time for a carpet cleaning proposal and gave me the name of the estimator. Thankfully I called him on the day because he had his client's numbers and addresses transposed, but he did come out the same day and it was fine. We set the day and and I explained that I don't live at the property that I need the carpet cleaned. He gave me a very reasonable quote and told me the next steps. I got a call the day before the cleaning asking if I could be there earlier because they had a cancellation. I said no as my family life prevents many last minute schedule changes, or getting there early. So, no worries, set for the original time and confirmed. As I was in the car on the way to the property the next day, I got another call from the carpet cleaners sort of pressing me into starting earlier. I said I could be there in 1/2 hour and they showed right up. Thankfully we did start a bit early because it ended up being the hottest day of the year so far and we were all sweating to death. They need to leave the door open for their cleaning equipment. CPR was quick, efficient and clean. My carpets looked great I simply wish they honored the original time without the pressure to change it.
