We were forced to do business with this company because of our home warranty. Our icemaker on the refrigerator went out, over a month ago. It was just spraying water, not turning off, filling up the vegetable drawers, the inside of the fridge, and flooding the kitchen. (We had gone to a doctor's appointment) The technician came and said he had to order a part and it might take 2 weeks. After 2 1/2 weeks, I called them and we scheduled for the tech to do the repair. On that morning, the tech was sick, and rescheduled. When he did get here, he proceeded to take the entire icemaker out, with coaching on his phone. After about 2 hours, he figured out that he needed to be at the back, where the water line was located. (I thought he was replacing the icemaker unit) He found the water line and realized he had the wrong part. After reassembling the icemaker, he left, saying he'd have to order a different part. Of course, R&R blamed the warranty people, the tech blamed his people, point being the icemaker still did not work! So, tech was scheduled for today, he installed the correct part, turned on the water and said we were good to go. I asked him to stay until the water started filling it, just to be sure it worked, he refused. About 15 minutes after he left, water started running, filling up the inside of the fridge and running onto the floor. We turned off the icemaker, but it continued to run, so we turned it off at the wall. Tried to call the tech, no answer and no voice mail service. We called R&R, no answer. We called the warranty people, no help. Finally, after 15 phone calls, R&R answered their phone...had to call us back. We waited 30 minutes, called them again and they are sending a technician who knows about refrigerators on Thursday. Today is Tuesday. Are we not important enough to send someone out here today! Or, tomorrow! Well, to answer that question...No! We are not important enough for them to bend a little and help us. I would NEVER recommend R&R Appliance of Spring, TX. It's taken them over a month to NOT fix our icemaker, with no apologies. read more
