Roofing Recommendation for Neighbors…read more Just wanted to share a good experience in case anyone nearby is thinking about getting their roof checked. We recently had our roof replaced by Ventura Home Remodeling Inc., and they did a great job. Rafael Ventura (the owner) was personally involved the whole time along with his brothers, Jose S. and Jose E., which I really appreciated. It wasn't one of those jobs where the owner sells the project and disappears. What started as a normal shingle replacement turned into a little more once the old roof came off -- we found some water-damaged decking and even a squirrel entry point. Their crew handled everything professionally and made sure the roof structure was solid before installing the new shingles. Their pricing was very competitive, but they didn't cut corners. The crew worked hard, showed up on time, and cleaned everything up when they were finished. One thing I learned through this is that 20+ year old roofs can hide a lot of problems. Ours was worse than we thought. If you're wondering about your roof, it might be worth having Rafael take a look. He offers a free evaluation and gives you a straight answer. I was looking into having the air ducts and dryer vent cleaned for a while now. I had held off due…read moreto overall cost, but I finally decided it needed to be done again as the allergies were in full bloom. After looking at several places, I found KwikDry through a Valpak mailer. After contemplating different businesses, I decided to go with them since there was a great coupon in the mailer for air duct cleaning. The date of the cleaning was on July 9, 2025. When I called them the first time, I spoke to their answering service. We went over what I wanted to look to have done. There is an additional $50 discount on the dryer vent cleaning if you have the air ducts cleaned, so I took advantage of that too. They also do tile and grout cleaning, so I had them do that as well at the front door and in the kitchen. They arrived at the time they said they would. He was very thorough about what the process would be and the timing the job would take. It was no surprise that it would be a few hours to go through all of the air ducts and dryer vent. He was also up front that the tile and grout cleaning may or may not change afterwards, but I still wanted to proceed with that anyways. The overall process took about four hours total. That wasn't too surprising to me. The air ducts were the biggest thing that needed to be cleaned and sanitized. I would still get some additional allergy symptoms like sneezing and such for about a day afterward, but since then, the allergies have calmed down quite a bit. It had been about five years since either were cleaned. The dryer vent was long overdue for cleaning, and he showed me just how much he collected out there. It was much more than I thought it would be. The last part was the tile and grout cleaning. It seemed to be a fairly seamless process for him. He wasn't sure if the colors would change much, but after it was done, those floors looked so much better. I never thought to get a before and after picture on that in the moment. Overall, this was an excellent experience that I had with them. I will be looking out for future coupons from them in the years to come and have them come back each year so that it doesn't get so bad. He did say though he's seen a lot worse, and he said he could tell that we change the filter frequently, which helps keeping the ducts to be piling up with dust and debris. If you're looking for a budget friendly place to have your air ducts and such cleaned, be sure to check them out.

Andrew was very professional and patient when answering my questions regarding his services. He even offered to schedule a carpet cleaner to come out. That was one less call I had to make and schedule. After calling around, I decided to go with Andrew not only because of the competitive price but because of his professionalism and level of customer service. I was hesitant because he charged an hourly rate compared to others that charged a flat fee. Well, he cleaned the HELL out of my property in 6 hours which was still over a hundred dollars cheaper than other companies. He also offers military rates which I appreciate as a military family. Andrew is an honest and fair businessman. He's also reliable, attentive to your cleaning needs, and great to work with. I emphatically recommend his services and will continue to patron his company. I know my tenant is going to LOVE her new home, and I'm sure you'll be impressed by his work ethic, too. I know I told you a million times already, but thanks again, Andrew!

Aspen Home Remodeling is a wonderful and highly ethical company. They follow up on their work to…read moremake sure everything is perfect. I found out about the company from a friend when I needed a new deck. One of the wood planks had developed a hole that continued to widen & lengthen. I called two companies for an estimate. One, who is well known for their quality work, basically told me what we would do including the layout. Noah, the owner of Aspen let me be an integral part of the design. I told him what I wanted and he let me choose materials & colors, making helpful suggestions. He also understood my need for a quick way to get the deck to a point where my dogs could get out back. He was the contractor I hired. The work of his crew was meticulous. Extra supports were put underneath the Trex planking I had chosen. They hand made the lattice covering around the bottom of the deck in the Chippendale style of my front porch. Everything turned out perfectly. The deck is larger than my old one. We added a second set of steps on the side of the deck where my spotlight provides more light at night when my dogs go out. There is even lighting on each step. Aspen replaced my front porch in the exact style of the old one that I loved. Previous contractors had told me the Chippendale style was no longer available. Noah's guys made it by hand, piece by piece. The next project was the bathrooms. It was so exciting to replace the 1985 one piece acrylic tub with a single tub and subway tile in my favorite color to the ceiling. All the bathrooms make me happy & are well worth my many steps upstairs & down with tile, paint & countertop samples to pick out my choices. After the holidays my windows came in. My house backs up a a short distance to the Chesapeake Bay. I loved the open feel the 1985 Andersons gave. But it got very cold and the hinges had rusted through from the corrosive air from the Bay, along with everything metal on the back side of the house. Noah & his supplier came together and were very attentive to my needs and taste. When the window estimate came it was perfect. And when the Pella windows came they were perfect. Noah's crew did the installation. Forty years of technology changes made the back side of my house so much warmer. The den windows now are open with blinds inside of the two panes. They make the room so much brighter. I'm sitting here now on a cold day with the blinds pulled up and I'm completely comfortable. They're beautiful, just what I wanted. Thank you Noah. Aspen's crew is wonderful and friendly. They do great work. Noah is really nice and so easy to work with. I have other projects and would consider no other contractor than Aspen Home Remodeling.

They made comments about the place looking really clean to start....and apparently that meant they didn't need to do anything. An hour later, they'd gone. When I got home, the place looked exactly the same. There was still dust on the blinds. I sprayed some floor spray and used a paper towel to wipe it up, and the photo shows the dirt left. The bathroom and kitchen were just as bad. Unfortunately I was left spending our last night in town scrubbing every inch of the house. When we sent the company photos and expressed disappointment, she said they'd send a refund. A few days later - nothing. So we bugged them again and they finally sent $50 - a partial refund for them apparently doing no work. They're not worth the money, the energy, or the amount of time you'll have to spend cleaning your place after they leave.
