Absolutely loved working with A-1 Plaster. Stephanie within customer service was super friendly and took care of every question and need that I had. I was a pretty demanding customer because the work being done was a surprise to my parents. She quoted me over email, accepted pictures, bypassed the original site visit, all to help me! I want to echo some of the great reviews because they are well deserved. I was provided top-notch service at a very reasonable price. I had a 4x4 section of my ceiling that I accidentally stepped through while fighting with some squirrels in my attic. I had a horrible time finding a company who could do drywall and plastering work and popcorn. I was able to get an immediate response and text images of damage to get a quote on the spot. I had a major leak near my back door and replaced my roof and checked all plumbing. The leak continued over months. Robert's employee identified the source, gave me time to have it repaired, and today his employee completed the rather large drywall and plaster repair. The entire area was encapsulated in a wall of plastic to minimize the spread of plaster dust and the area was swept clean upon completion. This company has great reviews and I did not believe they could be this responsive and service oriented, but I was wrong. After not hearing back from a drywall repairer that I have used in the past (and still have not after 3 days), I searched for a new company. I called Robert and glad that I did. I sent him pictures of the problem and a few other smaller issues. He sent a quote back to me. A truck came out the next morning, not because I pushed them to come as soon as possible, but this is the way they operate. The men who do the hard work for this company are fabulous. The reason they stay I have absolutely no idea. The receptionist isn't qualified to do her job and the owner is very unprofessional and nasty. We were given a quote from this company and decided not to go with them because they were too expensive. So we NEVER agreed on a date or time. We hired another contractor that was supposed to come today and thinking the gentleman that came in today were the contractors we hired WERE NOT. They were from this company. More than halfway through the job we realized we never hired these people and they weren't the people we expected. So the receptionist put us down for a job we never agreed to. I called them today and left a message because the office was "closed due to a personal matter". She called me back a couple of hours later apologizing. I understand that we are all human and make mistakes but we specifically never agreed or wanted to do business with these people because they were out of our price range. I asked her if she could come to a compromise on price and she said she'd have to ask the owner of the business which is her father. She called me back basically saying the business owner wants X amount for the job we never hired them for or he can have his workers come tomorrow and tear down the ceiling that was just put up by his hard workers. What kind of supposed "business owner" says that to a customer. You could have went about that a million different ways. Explaining that we can settle on a lower price because of THEIR DISCRETION to begin with!!! But instead thought it was a good idea to voice that he can come rip out the newly put up ceiling tomorrow. Needless to say I will not recommend this company to ANYONE purely based on the business owners attitude, lack of professionalism and respect. read more

Bobby is a stand up guy who runs a tight ship. I contacted him for a quote on some repair work on my ceiling. He stayed in contact with me and arrived early. Gave me reasonable pricing and we set a date for repair. He had a team at my place the same day ! Turn around time was excellent, customer service is outstanding. I hired this company to fix a few problem areas on my popcorn ceiling. Bobby came out right away to give me a quote of $400, and said they could get to it in a week. The crew showed up a week later at 8 a.m., but I did not receive any notice that they were coming. So they came back later that day, and after scraping off the popcorn, they said it would now cost $550, not $400. The work was completed in about 2.5 hours. It looks like a bad patch job. It doesn't match the rest of the ceiling. I felt like it was a rush job and wasn't worth the money. I would not recommend this company. They are not out to do a good job, just a rush job at a high cost. read more

After having all of my water lines replaced in my home from another company I needed to have a lot of drywall repairs. The original company said it would take a week total with pipe replacement and drywall repairs and over two months later I still had over 40 cutouts in my walls. I had to hire another plumbing company to come fix their illegal work and take over everything so that's when A-1 came out to finish the job and I couldn't be any happier! They came full force and had about 6 trucks full of workers ready to get the job done! They were in and out in two days and it came out great! Areas that had popcorn were completely matched and you can't even tell work was done. Everything else done from walls to ceilings was flawless and like there was never a hole to begin with.
