I use this team for any plaster work on my house. Extremely professional and quality work. My house is old, nothing is straight or square and this team always leaves every job looking amazing. Their pricing is very fair and competitive. Of all the contractors I've had in my home these guys are the greatest value. They've redone my plaster ceilings throughout the house, kitchen and a bedroom renovation. read more

Very satisfied. They were able to do the job within a few days of my initial call. They arrived on time, did a great job, and left the floor cleaner than they found it. And, of course, my ceiling looks great. read more

Jack and Bobby came to repair our ceiling. Showed up on time, extremely professional and over-delivered for the price. The job was completed before the time they quoted. They are who I'll call for any drywall and plaster repair. read more

Robert Broadhurst Plaster and Repairs is fantastic to work with! The phone is always answered by Stephanie and she is so pleasant and informative. The estimator (Chuck I think) was incredible and kept all of the figures in his head! The estimate was very fair, and even came back when I added more work. But the true heroes of this company is the crew (Mike, Charles and Chris)! They worked SO well together and were so professional. They worked so hard and didn't even take a break. They made sure that care was given to protect our house and were incredibly fast at their job! We are thrilled with this company and you will be too. read more

Came within 24 hrs with an estimate. Were willing to work a holiday weekend to meet MY deadline. Professional and personable. These men are skilled and their experience and work ethic are so appreciated. I would not hesitate to refer any job to them! Thank you. read more

Absolutely loved working with A-1 Plaster. Stephanie within customer service was super friendly and took care of every question and need that I had. I was a pretty demanding customer because the work being done was a surprise to my parents. She quoted me over email, accepted pictures, bypassed the original site visit, all to help me! The gentlemen who did the repair was friendly, COVID-safe, and very respectful of our home. I could see where he tapped his shoes before coming in, he tarpped the bedroom (including the stuffed animals, lol), and he even vacuumed before he left. Overall, from start to finish this company was a delight to work with. I am SO glad I booked with them and not the first company Angie's list recommended. read more

Thank you so much to Robert and his team for coming out so quickly to fix a large crack in our ceiling. We appreciate everything!!

I want to echo some of the great reviews because they are well deserved. I was provided top-notch service at a very reasonable price. I had a 4x4 section of my ceiling that I accidentally stepped through while fighting with some squirrels in my attic. I had a horrible time finding a company who could do drywall and plastering work and popcorn. I was able to get an immediate response and text images of damage to get a quote on the spot. I was also able to get repairs done in two days. I would absolutely recommend. read more

Don't waste your time. They don't return call. Never showed up. Customer service is horrible. The woman who answers the phone has absolutely no customer service skills. She claims she is the office manager, but has been rude every time I have had to talk to her. Would have give 0 stars if I could. read more

I had a major leak near my back door and replaced my roof and checked all plumbing. The leak continued over months. Robert's employee identified the source, gave me time to have it repaired, and today his employee completed the rather large drywall and plaster repair. The entire area was encapsulated in a wall of plastic to minimize the spread of plaster dust and the area was swept clean upon completion. The ceiling looks perfect....the plasterer knew what he was doing! I would highly recommend this company. read more

I have used Robert Broadhurst for multiple jobs over more than 15 years. He gets it right every time and I'm never disappointed.

Top notch repair at a very affordable price. Prompt service and very professional crew that came out. Highly recommend this company to others who need drywall and plaster. He was also able to put me in touch with someone for some other trades we needed completed in our home. read more

This company has great reviews and I did not believe they could be this responsive and service oriented, but I was wrong. After not hearing back from a drywall repairer that I have used in the past (and still have not after 3 days), I searched for a new company. I called Robert and glad that I did. I sent him pictures of the problem and a few other smaller issues. He sent a quote back to me. A truck came out the next morning, not because I pushed them to come as soon as possible, but this is the way they operate. The repairer took his time, informed me that I need to paint the spots and how I should do this, and was courteous and a hard worker. I can not say enough about their service! read more

The men who do the hard work for this company are fabulous. The reason they stay I have absolutely no idea. The receptionist isn't qualified to do her job and the owner is very unprofessional and nasty. We were given a quote from this company and decided not to go with them because they were too expensive. So we NEVER agreed on a date or time. We hired another contractor that was supposed to come today and thinking the gentleman that came in today were the contractors we hired WERE NOT. They were from this company. More than halfway through the job we realized we never hired these people and they weren't the people we expected. So the receptionist put us down for a job we never agreed to. I called them today and left a message because the office was "closed due to a personal matter". She called me back a couple of hours later apologizing. I understand that we are all human and make mistakes but we specifically never agreed or wanted to do business with these people because they were out of our price range. I asked her if she could come to a compromise on price and she said she'd have to ask the owner of the business which is her father. She called me back basically saying the business owner wants X amount for the job we never hired them for or he can have his workers come tomorrow and tear down the ceiling that was just put up by his hard workers. What kind of supposed "business owner" says that to a customer. You could have went about that a million different ways. Explaining that we can settle on a lower price because of THEIR DISCRETION to begin with!!! But instead thought it was a good idea to voice that he can come rip out the newly put up ceiling tomorrow. Needless to say I will not recommend this company to ANYONE purely based on the business owners attitude, lack of professionalism and respect. read more

Very easy to communicate with via email. Chuck came out to complete the estimate and made it very easy to schedule repairs. Everyone showed up on time for the scheduled repairs and they were able to complete our ceiling and wall repairs in half a day! read more

I hired this company to fix a few problem areas on my popcorn ceiling. Bobby came out right away to give me a quote of $400, and said they could get to it in a week. The crew showed up a week later at 8 a.m., but I did not receive any notice that they were coming. So they came back later that day, and after scraping off the popcorn, they said it would now cost $550, not $400. The work was completed in about 2.5 hours. It looks like a bad patch job. It doesn't match the rest of the ceiling. I felt like it was a rush job and wasn't worth the money. I would not recommend this company. They are not out to do a good job, just a rush job at a high cost. read more

I needed a hole in my daughter's room repaired. I called Mr. Broadhurst, he was very friendly and professional. I sent him my information via text and he provided me a quote and Chuck came the same day a did the repair. The price was fair (did comparison), they did a great job, were quick, and nice. I will be utilizing them in the future. read more

Hi, I used Robert Broadhurst and his team to fix the damage in the ceiling of my parents' home in Virginia Beach, VA. The ceiling was damaged by a leak in an upstairs bathroom. Once the leak was fixed, I contacted Robert Broadhurst and his team. He came out and did an estimate in the afternoon that I contacted him and we set up an appointment for the very next morning. He arrived on time, did a beautiful job, and left the area very clean. He worked very quickly to fix the ceiling. Me and my parents were impressed with the quality of work completed. Will hire him again in a heartbeat. read more

I was incredibly impressed with the company's professionalism, expertise, and timeliness. Within an hour of my phone call, the owner was able to come out and do an estimate. The repair was done soon after at a reasonable rate and with absolutely no mess left behind. I am so happy I learned about this company!!! read more

After having all of my water lines replaced in my home from another company I needed to have a lot of drywall repairs. The original company said it would take a week total with pipe replacement and drywall repairs and over two months later I still had over 40 cutouts in my walls. I had to hire another plumbing company to come fix their illegal work and take over everything so that's when A-1 came out to finish the job and I couldn't be any happier! They came full force and had about 6 trucks full of workers ready to get the job done! They were in and out in two days and it came out great! Areas that had popcorn were completely matched and you can't even tell work was done. Everything else done from walls to ceilings was flawless and like there was never a hole to begin with. Will absolutely recommend this plaster company to anyone looking for this kind of work and will use them again for future projects!! read more
