I showed my letter but the person at the reception just rolled her eyes. No apology, just attitude. I asked for the contact info of the manager or supervisor. When I tried calling that number from my car the extension would just drop the call. I had to go back to ask for another contact or number. Instead I received more rude attitude. This clinic has demonstrated a horrible client/customer service. I would recommend to go to any other clinic but this!!

They were told upfront that I had disability and would want the Ohip surgery as I could not afford laser surgery. They still scheduled me for consultations with a laser surgeon even though they knew that. On the second visit when I told them that, they said oh I'm sorry I will speak to my colleague. However two weeks of my time has been wasted and I still don't have any surgery booked because now I have to start again with the surgeon who does it the old fashion way because our hospitals have not updated their procedures in over 30 years.

Pacific Mall is filled with stores selling prescription eyewear and sunglasses but what sets Grace Family Eye Care apart from the other stores is Alvin, Edward and Nigel are all licensed opticians and are very knowledgeable about the correct designs, fits and dispensing of lens for the correction of a person's vision and they are very fair and professional. You will notice that many of their other competitors in the malls, have a huge selection of sunglasses and pretty girls as sales persons but they aren't as knowledgeable about what's the best fit for your eyes and they most likely aren't licensed opticians. If your at Pacific Mall and looking for a good optical store that has staff that is very knowledgeable about the business and are very fair and professional, I recommend Grace Family Eye Care, I have been getting my eyewear needs from them for over 10 years. Like any store in Pacific Mall, they are open to price negotiations. They are also fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

I got a referral from my Doctor which they said they didn't receive, yet my Dr.'s office sent another referral for another Doctor the same day and interesting how that office seemed to get to that referral fax. I finally got through to the office after 7 tries and I was told that the referral might be on his desk for approval to see if he'll take my case. I've been having intermittent eye pain. The referral was sent on Apr. 14th and it is now Apr. 26th. When the person from his office said that I'd have to wait to see if he would take my case, I said to her that this guy must be way too arrogant and I let them know that there are a number of ophthalmologists in this city that would actually care about getting a new patient. I would bet that if I said I wanted elective surgery for intraocular lenses....I would be contacted STAT! BTW, I am also considering that surgery. Dr. Weisbrod can keep that silver spoon in his mouth. I'm moving on!

The clinic locks the door and the staff lets patients in or out. The older lady sat down on a chair to wait for the door to be opened. The woman who works there (could be a nurse since she was wearing scrubs) chastised her to another patient in the waiting room. The nurse said to other patient in the something along the lines of 'omg, I can't believe she sat on the chair, I told her not to! people just don't listen.' It seems like the issue was that the nurse would have to disinfect the chair again. To me it didn't seem like it warranted that type of an exchange with another patient right in front of the one that's waiting to leave. If the nurse had unlocked the door sooner than the older lady would've left and never felt the need to sit on the chair. I could see that the clinic was very busy and everyone was working nonstop but having a bit of empathy will go a long way.
