When I was in a MVA recently, the police officer waited for this towing company to respond. In the time it took them to get to the scene (and mind you, they're a 5 min drive down the street), two other towing companies attempted to (with no avail) tow my car. Verdict? TURTLE SPEED SERVICE. When I tried to find my car plates (WITH THIS SHOP) to clear things up with the MOT and insurance company, what did they tell me? #1. First off, they didn't even know WHERE my car was. They gave me a phone number of someone who assessed the car BUT DIDN'T PICK IT UP. So they threw me through a loop, leaving voice mails, calling back random numbers for absolutely no reason. #2. Secondly, when I CALLED THEM BACK, they finally gave me the RIGHT name of the company that picked up my car. No phone number, no address. Way to give me NOTHING to work with. #3. When I called back AGAIN (all within 24 hours and in absolute frustration), they told me that they DID NOT take my car plates. But they gave some random person access to my car to pick up my stuff. It completely baffled me how Michael, the owner of the shop, got defensive and insisted that it was my boyfriend/the guy who was also in the accident who accessed my car. Excuse me? How could my boyfriend (who was in the accident with me at the time) pick up my stuff? We only have ONE CAR now (to which I drive to work) because we got into a MVA. You're telling me that my boyfriend walked how many blocks to your car shop to pick up a few things? You're not working with 5 year old children, if you're going to feed me some bull, at least be honest and tell me you're not sure. Now, I am completely distraught. I have to file a police report for LOST/STOLEN car plates because this car shop doesn't know how to do their job. So now I'm under the impression that they gave some random stranger access to my car and my belongings. Beautiful. Just beautiful. Please work on your people skills if you hope to stay in the SERVICE oriented industry.

I had the car towed to him about 930am and he had made it a priority to get it fixed - he had replaced my part and had the car working perfectly by 12pm. Tom was knowledgeable, had great communication, made me feel like a priority, and was quick & efficient. Glad he could help me out!

I went in the next day (when he said it would be ready) only the find the oil changed and nothing else done. He told me my transmission oil was dirty but not low, I needed new wheel bearings, my car pulls to the right, I needed a new exhaust manifold and flex pipe as they were all rusted out, and that I needed new wiper blades. He told me he would call me later that day or the next day with the prices for all the parts he would need, and I never heard from him again. That was 3 months ago. I ended up paying 75$ for an oil change and some wiper blades, that he didn't even install (not that that's a big deal). I'm glad I never heard from him again though, turns out my exhaust was fixed by a 5 minute weld, and my wheel bearings were fine. I had another garage look at it and after they aligned it (for free), and changed the transmission fluid, and they said it was fine. Claims to make customers for life but he can't call back the person he was about to scam into 400$+ worth of repair? University car care is a joke.

I made an appoint for the next day and received prompt, professional and friendly service. Both vehicle were done that morning for a total of $620 dollars plus tax. I have saved over half of what I was quoted and I am very satisfied. If you are looking for auto mechanic work they are the ones to consider.

I asked at several garages about getting an inspection done, but they all told me it was too late in the day. I was driving down Grant Street around 5:00 PM, when I noticed there was an inspection sign on the Liberty Auto Plus shop. As I drove in I could see that they were closing down and getting ready to leave. I asked about an inspection anyway. The attendant asked if I could come back the next day. When I explained that it was the last day that I could get the car inspected, the man agreed to stay late and do the job. He did a thorough inspection, checking the entire car out. My car passed and didn't need any work. The man just charged me the standard fee and refused to let me give him anything for the inconvenience my late request caused him. Liberty did the job even though it meant that the attendant had to stay late for a guy who was not a regular customer. He did the inspection correctly and only would take the standard fee. These guys are good; they are honest and were willing to help out a stranger. Next time I need any work done on my car or want to buy a used car, I am going to this shop.
