I work for a housing community of 101 apartments in an 8-story high rise. Our property includes an…read moreentire city block. We have had difficulty getting and keeping lawncare companies because there are hills on our property and no one wants to weed whack the hillsides or weed the mulched hill. We had DeVico's come and look over the property and give us a quote. Price seemed decent enough so we hired them. This is a corporation so we require commercial vendors. They had it all. They started out great that first day of mowing and trimming. They picked up trash instead of running over it, picked up bigger sticks, edged nicely.....we were VERY happy. They then disappeared for 2 weeks! We have TruGreen services here fore weed and feed so the grass needs attention every week and sometimes every 5-6 days in mid summer. Besides, their contract states that they will mow weekly....not every two weeks. They were also contracted to address our perennial flower beds. I was assured that the workers KNEW what perennials were for weeding purposes. We had a federal inspection coming up and needed the overgrown bed addressed. Multiple calls and emails FINALLY they showed up on the Sat before the Tuesday inspection!! The did almost nothing it he bed. So they came back on Monday and ran the weed eaters through and destroyed 3 years of work and more than $500 worth of perennials!!! Totally trashed the bed! And then billed us more than what the contract said they would. The owner went so far as to agree to setting up and doing "commercial" level work. We thought, "Cool, we'll move forward on this". They mowed one additional time then ghosted us. They cost me a ton of wasted time and huge money on the flower bed damages. I never even an apology. Supremely unprofessional group.
