Multiple valleys, peaks, skylights and vents with curated gardens and decks below compounded the project. The project was completed from beginning to end with a high degree of conscientiousness toward quality and care for the overall property. The crew arrived early, worked in a highly productive manner throughout the day, finished each day leaving roof in a no risk protected condition from potential rain or wind and did not leave until all personnel participated in a thorough clean up of debris, including magnetic screening of lawn, gardens and driveways for nails. I have done construction projects in the past, know building codes and felt the crew met/exceeded my expectations. The quote was detailed and the work was completed to high quality standards on budget and on schedule - we got a an excellent value for our expenditure. Be cautious when relying on their "10 year no non-sense warranty". They replaced our roof in 2020,…read moreand we now have a leakage. Getting them to come out and inspect it has been impossible--multiple delays, shifting reasons (weather, scheduling, location), and periods of simply no response. After days of trying to resolve this, I mentioned I might need legal help if the issue wasn't addressed. The response I received was: "tell your lawyer to talk to mine." At this point, the main issue isn't just the leak--it's the lack of follow-through once the job is complete. A warranty should provide support when problems arise, and that hasn't been my experience. Draw your own conclusions.

Mike Fox from Maine Proofing came out, walked on the roof, saw the existing patchwork and leaky vents that had been caulked some time ago. He agreed that there was enough slope for a metal roof. I chose a dark blue, standing (hidden) seam. I learned that the roofing was supplied by Maine Amish. I was happy to buy from a local source. Once the dumpster arrived, he and the crew got the job done in three days. The sheathing was intact and did not need replaced. I decided to have the shingles removed, and that was done. He and the crew installed new boots for the vent and caulked them--one of the old ones had a large hornet's inside! They installed a high temp ice and water shield over the whole roof. This was covered by a snap lock standing seam metal roof, 19 gauge, I think. They installed rake trim along the rakes and the gable ends complete with starter J channel, and Z closures at the cap installation, and used Geosill and butylene sealing tape where needed. The debris was cleaned up, at least 99%. I'm happy. I did not get the chance to borrow their ladder to take pics, but my stepson went up and confirmed that it was well done. Thank you, Mike and crew!

Now our roof is fixed and with the drone inspection we know there are no problems hidden in areas that we can't see. The cost for the repair seemed quite reasonable, especially considering that they did not install the roof to begin with.
