It was a double stack of smashed beef using fresh chuck/brisket of a 80/20 % blend and I could taste it was good quality beef. This burger consists of side bacon, back bacon, bourbon bacon jam, LOADED with crispy fried onions, and topped with lettuce, tomato and mustard. Easily one of the best Smash Burgers in Saskatchewan. Wouldn't change a thing. They deliver on their promise of big flavors and generous portions, so you definitely won't leave hungry. All of the ingredients are high quality, fresh, and locally sourced. The lady who took our order was very friendly and provided excellent service. On top of that, the pricing was reasonable considering the portion sizes and overall quality. On an unrelated note, I wholeheartedly loved to watch Jurassic park while we had our dinner!!! I highly recommend this spot and everything we ordered. It is an Italian sandwich shop with about 7 or 8 sandwich options to choose from. It is set up to be a takeout shop, but there are some chairs in front of the store. The restaurant has limited hours as it is only open for lunch on Tuesday to Saturday. Not sure if this was a COVID related decision, but sandwiches are premade and wrapped in plastic. You choose what you want and pay at the counter. I am unsure if you have the choice to get your sandwich freshly made or not. Using a premade sandwich operating model seems to indicate that there is no option to customize the sandwich. I grabbed an Italian deli sandwich and took it back to the hotel to eat. I would have liked the option to have the sandwich toasted, as it seemed like a sandwich that was put in the fridge. The bread hardens a little. I did love the basil mayo in the sandwich, which had a very unique and fresh flavor. Overall, I thought the sandwich was decent, but I wonder if it would have tasted better if it was freshly made rather than premade.

The beer selection was minimal but good. The food is mostly all made from scratch and you can tell. It's flavourful, delicious and the portions are generous! The people working there are lovely and even with the VLT/bar next door, you really don't hear anything loud. The atmosphere is great for a casual date night. I had the Salisbury steak served with soup of the day, a garden salad (highly recommend the house dressing!), mashed potatoes and onion gravy. It's SO good and the portion is perfect. My husband had the cheeseburger served with a garden salad and fries. The hamburger patty for both meals was incredible. Whatever they're doing here, they're doing it right. This might just be my new favourite spot!!
