Honestly, this is by far my favorite (if not, my second favorite) Michelin restaurants I have ever been to. From the front desk staff, to our servers, to the chefs, to the presentation, to the end, I mean...nothing went wrong.
I'm quite picky when it comes to food, let alone Michelin dining - so I was extremely surprised at how well my experience turned out.
The interior is small, about 6 main tables in the room, 1 off to the corner in the back, and 1 off to another corner in the front (tucked in somewhere). Although tiny, don't let it fool you.
Every dish, every bite, every flavor, was spot on. It was a unique experience, where each plate tells a story, and they made sure that when you first entered the restaurant, that you'll know you'll be learning about the history of Columbia (which I appreciated). The only thing that I did notice was during the presentation, our servers eye contact was somewhere else, like they were distracted or kept looking at other things to do, or maybe the front door? It wasn't terribly bad, but it was enough to be noticeable. Despite that, I didn't let that ruin the experience because...well why would I?
We opted OUT of the alcohol pairing (not a drinker), but we did opt IN for the extra dish of seared pork (or something like that) and it was delicious.
I love this place so much that I will for sure be back the next time I'm back in Madrid and would highly recommend anyone visiting Madrid to get it a try. It's different than other Michelin restaurant (which is one thing I love), but if you're open minded and want to try other cuisines, then it's worth every penny.
I've had Columbian food in the past and it's absolutely delicious but this just takes it up a notch. What an unforgettable experience. read more
