Their signature spicy ketchup hit the spot, and the fries were golden and crisp. Service was friendly and fast, even during the dinner rush. The dining area was clean, and the staff kept things moving smoothly. Not quite five stars--the drive-thru line was a bit long, and the drink machine needed a quick wipe-down--but overall, it was a solid experience. Great burgers, good energy, and a must if you're craving a Texas-style classic in Oklahoma.

There were, by my highly scientific estimate, at least one hundred employees inside. I could see them through the windows, all moving with the majestic slowness of a herd of sleepy turtles migrating uphill. One was stirring a drink so slowly I thought the spoon was stuck in molasses. Another blinked once, possibly twice, during my entire stay. Truly inspiring. Despite this overwhelming staff presence, it somehow took one full hour to get through the drive-thru. Sixty minutes. Long enough for me to finish an audiobook, reflect on my life choices, and watch three cars in front of me give up and flee the line like survivors of a fast-food apocalypse. When I finally reached the window, my burger looked like it had been assembled during a mild earthquake. The bun was sliding off like it was trying to escape the situation. The patty tasted like someone had described "beef" to a committee, and the committee decided to wing it. The lettuce drooped like it needed a nap. The fries were lukewarm, which is impressive considering the hourlong odyssey they must have undertaken to reach my vehicle. Salt content: 0% on the fries, 400% in my soul. Would I return? Honestly, yes--because its only option on Thanksgiving at 12:30am. Will I hate myself for doing so? Also yes

    Howdy Burger

Oklahoma seems to have a certain pride when it comes to burger joints that keep it simple. Tulsa…read morehas many chains, local restaurants and pop-ups that are familiar and filling. Encroaching on a seemingly crowded market can be tough but somehow Howdy feels like an already-established diner. While many newer burger places attempt to overwhelm the consumer, Howdy Burger's approach seems to be keeping things simple and delivering what the people want while staying true to the "burger joint" identity. I've had Howdy Burger 2 or 3 times through the years. My first visit was likely in/at Mother Road Market but a more recent visit was on October 29th (2025). In the midst of an economic stall (the federal government was shut down for 4 weeks at that point), eating out seemed like a luxury. I visited around 2pm for lunch. The weather was chilly and the staff was readily available. I was greeted and I browsed the menu for about 2mins before ordering. I ended up getting a single burger & rodeo fries. Afterwards, me & the lady cashier had a brief conversation about the state of the world as business was slower than usual. The restaurant isn't huge but it was well maintained. I sat near the West windows and the food came out shortly after. The highlight of the food was easily the burger itself. It was a decent size, the bread was soft, and the patty was just thick enough. Each bite was equally satisfying as they didn't hold back on the toppings. I will say that the fries are pretty standard, even with the extra toppings. I don't think the Rodeo Fries are worth wild but it didn't hurt to try. Lastly, I LOVE the variety of sauces they offer and the staff are happy to add them directly onto the sandwich or place them on the side. I've since returned to have the Fried Chicken Sandwich and it was just as good, if not better, than most famed chicken sandwich spots. I wasn't familiar with Howdy for a while and, as mentioned, there are many other places to get a cheeseburger, sandwich and/or fries. But what I like about Howdy is that they don't try too hard, they know what sells and they offer great service. Considering the price, consistency in their products and good people behind the counter, Howdy Burger is good enough to replace your favorite burger chain and/or fast food spot.

The restaurant was not busy when we were there, but it was very clean and nice. It's great that they have their own parking lot, especially in the Brookside area. When I found out they'd be opening this location, just blocks from where I lived, I was ecstatic and terrified at the same time. I'll have to practice my self discipline and constraint big time. The place itself is huge, bigger than other locations I've been to. There's a lot of seating available inside with a long high top table, booths, and three disco balls on the ceiling. The high energy music makes it feel like a party. It also has a very nice patio seating area. It'll be great once Oklahoma weather cooperates. I came in when they weren't busy and literally the entire staff said, "Welcome to Cane's" as I came in. Everyone was attentive and helpful and overall, they seem to have a great team dynamic between themselves, which is always a plus for the vibe of a place. My go-to order is their 3 finger Combo: three chicken fingers with crinkle-cut fries, Texas toast, 1 Cane's sauce and a 22oz drink. There's something addictive about their sauce. I usually order an extra one to make sure I have enough. It's so good combined with the chicken and I even like it on the toast. Their fries are pretty epic as well. I like to mix the unsweetened tea with some of the sweet tea to get the right level of sweetness I like. The drive thru has two lanes, which will hopefully help when it's really busy. The setup seems to work. Overall, super excited to welcome Cane's to my neighborhood!
