Hot dog

This is a solid QT location, staff were getting through the line fast and I got a soda and a hot dog and both were great. I would come back to this location, it was efficient and had everything I wanted!

I don't know what I enjoy more about this location--the service or the people watching. All varieties of city life flow through this location at the eastern end of the Grove district just south of IKEA. I find myself using QT more and more as a fast food spot. I easily customize orders on the app and meals are ready for pick-up when I arrive.

Most QT's are look nice and clean but this one is by far the best one I have ever seen! Perhaps it's a newer location or in a nicer area with other things nearby. Who knows but I love it! It's very clean inside and out...the gas pumps are super clean too! I will definitely frequent this QT whenever i'm in the area.

Some friends of mine recently invited me to join them for dinner at Five Guys and I was reminded…read morehow much I love their food. So much that I decided to go back for a second time in an 2 week period. This time at the location off of Lindell Blvd in the Central West End. Like other locations, this location offers their classic take on burgers, hotdogs, milkshakes and fries. Each item is made-to-order and customizable with a range of toppings. I opted to order a cheeseburger and a regular serving of fries- both of which were ready in less than 15 minutes from the time I placed the order. Overall, the ingredients were fresh and the quality was consistent with what I have experienced at other locations. If you have never been, there are a few considerations when dining at Five Guys: 1) the serving sizes are enormous. The cheeseburger is actually a double cheeseburger and the regular size fries are served in a 12oz cup which is enough to serve 2 people, 2) the serving size and the price go hand in hand. While you get a lot of food, a meal for one person can range anywhere from $14-$20 and 3) they double fry their fries in peanut oil, which may be a limitation for some people with allergies. Overall, I am pleased with the experience and will return the next time I have a craving for a burger and fries.

Sorry for the negative reviews, but I've only had positives here. Great folks behind the counter…read morethat are always willing to help.

The mushroom burger is unlike any other I've ever had. It's ground up mushroom in the shape of a patty with cheese on the inside that is then breaded and deep-fried. It was good and something new, but I preferred the regular veggie burger. The veggie burger comes with crispy onions, which I loved. The service was also great. We are a family that loves pickles and sometimes when we ask for extra pickles, it doesn't seem like we ever get enough. It was not the case here! They were very generous with the extra pickles which we were really happy about. The cheese fries were standard. The Oreo milkshake seemed pretty standard as well, but milkshakes aren't my favorite thing. Personally, I didn't care for how everything is served without a plate and with the burgers in the paper bags. I think the paper bags the burgers come in are a great idea to stop your hands from getting messy, but I had to take the burger out to realign everything so that all the bread wouldn't be at the very bottom and it just became a mess. Note: 1 burger was enough for me. I thought I was still hungry after and got another and that was a mistake!

Back on subject (hee hee)....Well, Hi-Pointe was the DRIVE-IN located on St. Charles Rock Road!! Can anyone remember the dual screen, the rock-hard metal speakers, hilly gravel spaces, swings, the scent of popcorn filtering in the air...and the small concession stand! Boy'o'boy!! The family owned company is still here!! They have a few establishments, too.... Ok, to the FOOD....If you want a BURGER and I mean a BERRRGERRR, please go!! It is very kid friendly, seat yourself...inside or out, wheelchair accessible and on. The only squeeze...parking! But, there are side streets, you'll figure it out (wink). Have a nostalgic moment....share this with your kiddos and give them the 'I remember when' talk... being there, seeing the ambience, they'll get it!! Enjoy my family...!!!

My husband and I were staying nearby at the Cheshire, and we walked over to Hi-Pointe Drive-In for a quick bite before a concert. We came around 4 PM, which was kind of an off time, but the entire team was incredibly welcoming with some great menu recommendations. You order at the counter, and then your food is brought to your table hot and fresh. I ordered the Double Burger with cheddar and all the fixin's, along with some of their special sauce. I also got a side of the sweet potato tots and the "Oreo Speedwagon" milkshake. My burger was cooked perfectly and loaded up with toppings, and their special sauce is light and mustardy. The sweet potato tots were warm and crispy, and the milkshake washed everything down perfectly. I'd absolutely recommend this spot to visitors and locals alike. It goes without saying that not every restaurant deserves 5 stars but since I typically don't rate…read morefast food restaurants much, I have to separate this evaluation into its own category. It's not fair to evaluate a fast food restaurant against, for example a place like Ruth's Chris. With that said, as far as fast food restaurants go this is a 5 star fast food restaurant. Lee's definitely has the best fried chicken in the state. I live in California so when I come home for the holidays I like to get the junk food I grew up on and Lee's is one of my favorites. The restaurant was very clean but extremely warm. I was going to ask them to turn down the heat but I decided to sit under the ceiling fan and turn it to high. That helped a lot. I ordered the 5 wing plate combo. The wings came with a biscuit, two sides and a drink. For my sides I ordered baked beans and potato wedges. The crispy chicken had a great crunch followed by a very unique and slightly spicy flavor. The chicken was very moist and flavorful. If you ask for bbq sauce for dipping (free), it elevates the chicken even more. It also wasn't overly oily like some fried chicken places. The potato wedges were very good but a little under done. The center of the larger wedges were a bit too firm. The baked beans are phenomenal; a little sweet and spice that compliments the entire dish. I wish the biscuits were a little more moist but the flavor of the biscuits were spot-on with its flaky, buttery exterior. Accomplished by Lee's infamous sweet tea, it was an indulgent meal that I have about once a year. If you're ever in the area and your looking for some fried goodness, stop by Lee's. You won't be disappointed.
