A few employees are nice, but most of them are very rude, and the darker complected heavyset lady is always so rude. When I went to turn in my lotto tickets, I was being very polite and friendly with her and told her that I needed another trio. Afterward, when she was ringing me up, I said "I still need that trio" and she said, "You never told me." I responded by saying, "I did, but you probably didn't hear me" and she said, "No, you didn't." I repeated myself, "Yes, I did", but you probably didn't hear me in a friendly manner and she replied again, "No! You didn't!" I told her that I wasn't going to argue with her. I can't believe she's even arguing over something so petty like that and a friend that was visiting her in the store looked a little shocked, too, but obviously didn't say anything. I'm not gonna argue with a store employee and I'm certainly not gonna be treated this badly at a neighborhood store that I've gone to for years. They need to do something about that store and their employees. It's awful! I don't even wanna go into that store anymore. It's disgusting and unprofessional! That's how I would rate it. Sorry, but I wouldn't even give it one star if I wasn't forced to on here.

I've heard some funny stories about overly enthusiastic customers but never experienced it myself -- they must know to behave when I'm there! ; ) Haha, kidding. Listen, you've got to make this *your* station in Laveen! The shelves here have some good deals occasionally, it's clean, stocked well, nice ac, working pumps, lots of parking and has the BEST most awesome staff!! My mom even said, "wow, they're really sweet there" and she's a tough cookie! They work very smart at this station, you can really tell that. It's even got its own excellent assortment of snacks and goodies directly from Mexico. Everyone says the chips I bring to the party are way more flavorful, score! If you're on your way to/from the highway, stop by and show some support to the newest local station. After all, it's the morning and midday grab-and-go stomping ground for our dedicated construction and manual labor forces so they've got to be doing it right at Shell-Laveen!

I have had Daves Hot Chicken once before when they first opened in Laveen and I thought it was…read moregood, but I am not a huge chicken sandwich fan. I never got the allure or cult status of places like Chik Fil A, Popeyes, or Raising Canes. Canes sauce is good but it kinda overwhelms the ok chicken. What I do like about Daves is that it is actually Hot chicken. Their reaper sauce which deserves a receipt signed waiver is crazy hot. One of my kids got it and he said "its ok, not super hot" cause he is nuts and doesn't recognize you can't eat lava which would be the only hotter option. He also practically drinks Da Bomb from Hot Ones and that is just Cray Cray. I opted for the Extra Hot on my sandwitch endeavor and did the same for a the Chicken bites which was $8 for a 10 Piece with bread, pickles and sauce. Not to shabby for the quality of the food. The Daves sauce is great and their ranch is so so, something about packaged ranch is never great compared to a pub ho made ranch. The chicken is crispy when fresh and has a slight sweet flavor with some good heat that adds up the more you eat. I will regret it later. The pickles are crisp and tangy and add a good means to cut the fat, especially when added to the bread with a chicken bit dipped in Daves sauce. The Service has been great both times an they really make it feel like more of a sit down experience than brushing you off as some fast foodie. I really like the way they decorate the building with some interesting art and the inside carries that over with an inviting seating area for great fast food ambiance if you are going to eat in, which I likely wont do as it is generally busy and close quarters for my claustraphobic brain. I would recommend the reaper sauce if you want an adventure as it is tasty but deadly . I dont like fast food in general as I get older, but this is a great option to feed some fried hot chicken craving even if you have to deal with some self loathing on the toilet later.

Fast food? Maybe not quite as fast as expected…read more I went through the drive-thru around 4:00 PM on a Wednesday, and there was one car in front of me. I ordered the new large popcorn chicken and then waited... and waited... and waited a little more. It took roughly 15 minutes before the car in front of me got their order, which seemed like quite a long time for what appeared to be just one bag with one food container inside. I'm not sure what took so long, but I figured maybe they were having a busy moment. It wasn't in the dining room from what I could see. When I got my "large" popcorn chicken, I was a little surprised by the size of the container and not in a good way. After opening it, I also noticed that more than a third of it was basically fried batter rather than chicken. For $8.99, I was hoping for a little more chicken and less pieces of breading. The popcorn chicken itself was decent, but between the wait and the portion, it just wasn't quite what I expected.
