I have been dining at Planet Sub for many years, but not the last 12 as we lived in Las Vegas. As soon as I remembered this place, my wife and I made a beeline to have lunch here. The gal who helped us at the counter, was super helpful and kind. We were impressed by the cleanliness of the restaurant and even the restrooms. I highly recommend this location. But this place is worth a local "road trip" to treat myself to one of the best sandwich shops in the Kansas City area. IMHO, it puts the "freaky fast" and other competitors to shame. There is a large variety of sandwiches, never a lack of something to pick from when you go in there. And they genuinely come out hot! I love that they expanded the chips selection from when I used to go there before I was sent to work from home. Their cookies are second to none. And a decent selection of sodas at the fountain as well. I have to knock it one star due to no fault of the people who run this place, but for the corporation that owns them. It's disappointing that they have closed locations near me. I understand business choices, having to close restaurants due to increases in rent/poor performing, etc. But this is the only one on the side of the state line in Missouri, and that's very disappointing.
