I'm going to call the corporate office to see if this is a companywide practice and if it is, obviously today's meal from Popeyes will be the last and I will contact the local media to let all the patrons know they may be practicing a policy that is not conveyed to customers in writing. He was hired, issued a uniform, and given a schedule yet he was never actually placed on the schedule or contacted again. Instead, he later received a termination notice for "no show," despite never being assigned a single shift. What makes this more concerning is that I witnessed another applicant, an African American male, get processed and hired in the course of 20 minutes. The contrast in treatment raises legitimate questions about bias or favoritism. I also observed the manager loudly complaining in an empty restaurant, creating an uncomfortable environment. Her conduct appears disorganized, dismissive, and unprofessional, affecting both applicants and customers. This location has potential, but the current management is failing it. Note: Whether this situation was caused by nepotism, an unqualified résumé, or personal issues on the manager's part, the behavior displayed was neither professional nor appropriate.
