On moving day, only two movers arrived - despite my having a quote and timeframe planned for three. The first two got started, but it was obvious they were missing some muscle - as they used their black wheeled dolly on my interior carpeted stairs (which the sales rep later told me is not allowed.) Around 1pm, the third mover arrived. To be very clear, the movers themselves were friendly, polite, and respectful. I have no issues with those guys personally. I just don't think they were set up for success. The move ended up lasting DOUBLE the quotes time - until 1:30 in the morning. And by the time it was all said and done - my home and property had been damaged. Because the sale of my home was scheduled to close in two days - the damage had to be repaired, and quickly. Starting at 7am the following morning, I began attempting to make contact - with no response. I finally did get to speak to my sales rep, who promised to reach out to his GM and call me back in 30 minutes. I never heard from anyone. So today, in a race against the closing clock, we had to hire painters to come fix the walls and door jamb, and a carpet cleaner to get the wheel grease off the stairs. And I am stuck with a ripped and stained sofa. And still no acknowledgement or return call from anyone at College Hunks. So disappointing. TL;DR: They sent too few people, resulting in eight extra hours of moving time and damage to both my home and my property. They did not return multiple time sensitive messages asking for resolution. Way over time and budget - poor communication.

The company sent 3 men and they could have used 4-5. Four stories was too much for 3 men. They did not have the address for the delivery or that it was 4 stories. They were able to host a large king headboard to the 3rd floor but did not come prepared, to move 2 sofas and a club chair to the 2nd floor. so, After paying over $9k for the move, I am left with 2 couches and a club chair in the garage. Brad, the ""supervisor" was called. He was arrogant and insisted it could not be done, even asking me at one point "what equipment they should have brought to get it up". Net net, Coastal Carrier did not do the proper due diligence for this move and were woefully unprepared. When I spoke with Chase, he explained that I would now be charged an additional service charge to get the couches and chair to the 2nd floor. Needless to say, I hired someone one else to complete the move. Do not use them!

I filled out the insurance on August over 3 weeks ago and still haven't been contacted despite multiple emails. During the move my car keys/wallet (combo) also went missing. I wound up having to Uber to get from my old residence to the new one. I tried to give myself the benefit of the doubt that maybe they fell in a box but we went through them all now. Gone. When I got to my new place the door and garage were open and most items unloaded in the garage. I had asked the team if they had seen the keys/wallet and one of them described it and said they thought they saw it in a basket in my kiddos room... But kiddo doesn't have any baskets. They also reminded me about the spare key in my desk drawer. To there credit the drawer could have opened while moving, and I appreciate the details. One of the movers kept flirting and mentioning 3 other jobs being cancelled and by the end of it I just left a bunch of stuff behind and went back later to get stuff ( I left doors unlocked). The ultimate thing besides the bill going from $1,000 to $1,500 having to buy a new TV to replace a 75 inch broken one, having to buy a new wallet / cancel cards / get a new ID / new backup car fob / pay key replacement charges at move out - was my kiddos bed was not assembled correctly at all. Luckily I lay with them until they are asleep and noticed it was way too jiggly. (The slide and ladder were not even attached)
