Drove to the address and just found an abandoned building on the side of the road. Called again and was given the new address which was only 2 miles away. Great, I thought. Drove to the new place to find two signs. One says open and one says closed. Checked the holiday hours posted on the door- Should be open at 1:45 on Friday December 28th. It's pouring rain and I really don't feel like driving all over Southern Maryland so I called again. No answer now. It's only been 10 minutes since I called last and got a human on the phone so I called a couple more times and gave up. Finally just drove to the DMV and got it done there. Funny thing is I've been passing them for years and never knew their capability around Maryland since there are so many locations of these, all independently owned I think. The branding is a bit odd since I always thought all they did was "Tag and Title" by virtue of the name?? It's now call "Tags to Go" which is even more vague. I turned in a set of tags on one vehicle and got a replacement set on another one, right here. Paid all the transfer fees. The owner, Callie, told me they're hooked up to the DMV's database and can do everything that the DMV can do for you, pretty much. In and out in less than a half an hour. Amazing! I highly recommend!

I consulted the DMV website to look up all the…read morenecessary paperwork needed so I would only have to make ONE TRIP because the DMV is infamous for stating "everything you need" online & then stating something completely different or additional in person, resulting in multiple trips, excess time off of work/out of your day, incredible wait times & major frustration! This location is tucked inside the American Legion & is literally a folding table located in their main event room. I thought I walked into the wrong place, as did others behind me, but it's small size was super nice & it was epic to have no line! The person who assisted me was very nice & friendly ~ She's was 5 stars! And the convenience of being able to make an appointment & be seen right away ~ again 5 stars! And being located in close proximity to me ~ another 5 stars! The DMV gets only 1 star because of all the BS involved but it's not this location's fault, it's the way the DMV rolls. I had made an appointment & was confident that I had everything I needed to complete my transaction. Sure enough, I sat down & the lady said I needed another piece of information that was not listed on the website! What does that mean... It means that I could not complete my transaction! She helped me with transferring a van to my son in PA. I had almost headed to the MVA in Landover where I would have waited and waited only to find out that I didn't even need to be there!
