Friendly staff, especially the guy there on a Friday night. Like its name, service is quick. You can get in and out quickly. Even when there's a line of lotto/lottery purchasers, the cashiers move quickly. They offer the regular items found at your local convenience store - snacks, drinks, alcohol and even prepared food like (taquitos, hot dogs and other items). Since I only buy lotto tickets, please don't quote me on which prepared items the sell. read more

Service at this location has gone downhill since new ownership took over. I rarely see employees wearing masks, even with a sign on the door saying masks are required. I was there the other day to get some quick pick lotto tickets. When it was my turn to go to the counter, the two employees behind the counter started looking for something else while ignoring me. I waited about 15 seconds, to see if they would at least acknowledge me. Then walked out. Pretty sure I'm not going back to this location. Time to check out 00 Liquors in that center. read more

Quik Stop doesn't carry as much inventory as 7-11. didn't see much beers offered or much variety. eats: "monterey" tamale (1.29 + tax) -meat just a bit, mostly masa. tasted better than average -"roller grills" listed 2/$2.29 on window didn't see any signage by grill. just regular pricing, so passed. take outs: -large parking lot, parking not an issue. -service quick as store was empty of patrons. read more

What a scam- if I could click on zero stars I would. Don't buy you scratcher or lotto tickets at this Quik Stop. I do not live in Union City last Sunday March 31st I drove here specifically to get my hair done next to this Quik Stop. I decided to buy coffee and two $10.00 scratchers since I was a little early for my hair appointment. Later that evening, I scratched my tickets and realized I had a $10 playback; I also had a $200 winner. I was pleased and felt I had found my lucky spot to purchase my lotto and scratchers. I held onto my tickets for the entire week. I refused to go to any other establishment; I was going to be a forever customer to this Quikstop until today Saturday, April 6, 2019. 3:20pm. I walked in to cash my tickets; immediately i'm told I don't have the money to cash this. I inquired when would you have the money I was told maybe later of a few hours from now to me it just sounds like a line, an excuse not to cash this ticket? I left the store deciding I would come back later on to cash it and purchase more tickets then upon driving back home I made a decision I'm not going to inconvenience my schedule today to drive to a different city than where I live to cash in lottery tickets that they sold me. I'm sure this Quikstop had more than enough money to cash my ticket. While I was standing in the store on my second visit to get the proprietors name and phone number of this location the store had several customers come in to purchase tickets as well as other items just two customers alone purchased three $30 tickets while I was standing there. I made a comment to the cashier Janet; it's hard to believe you do not have enough funds to cash my $200.00 ticket when people have just spent $90 within the last four minutes purchasing scratchers as well as lotto tickets. I told her I'm going to contact the owner and question if this is the common practice? it's hard to believe they cannot cash in winning tickets that are sold in their location. it appears that they're only there to take in money but when they have a large payout they try to send you to the liquor store on the corner. I told her I didn't purchase my tickets at the liquor store her reply was well take it up with the owner I don't care; she told us you can tell them you don't have enough money to cash the tickets. That being said, don't give them your business they don't deserve it. Give your money to a company that appreciate your business and willing to pay you should you get lucky with their tickets. I will never buy anything from this location again. As I see it they are only willing to take your money and keep theirs. What a SCAM this place is. I'm an old time customer of the Quik Stop. As a long time union city resident, I've been coming her since I rode my bike here as a kid in the 80s. They always had what I needed... as a kid...chick-o-stick and New York seltzer, now more like lotto tickets, a fountain soda and smokes (I know, gross... I'm working on that) it's family owned and everyone that works here is super friendly and will start to remember your "order" if you start coming back regularly. I stop here on a weekly basis and sometimes stop by with my girls for an after school ICEE. It's the standard Mini-mart fare and pricing, they have some "hot food" options, never tried any, but it's there...typical fountain drink set up and and ICEE machine... read more
