Ben even slowed down to ensure this pregnant lady was safe kayaking and exploring tide pools!! Both of them were so incredibly knowledgable and James even spent the time to help look for cool and rarer finds in the tide pools. On top of this, we were able to see dolphins!! They literally swam up behind us and it was such a special moment with this tour group. We are grateful to Ben and James for making our babymoon so special!!

I went to a couple dive shops but still couldn't find one. After one uncomfortable dive, I reached out to JMJ to see if I could get a custom wetsuit made before the following week. Not only did they say yes, but it was done in just a couple of days, allowing some time for the hood to be altered slightly. My JMJ Custom 7mm wetsuit got it's first splash this weekend in 51degree water in Catalina. Kept…read moreme warm and kept the water out as it should. It was easy to get on and off, wet and dry. I saw several other people with JMJ wetsuits that looked like they had been used for years and looked like they were holding up well. The JMJ Crew were friendly, responsive and physically make the suits on site so I was able to see the process. I was able to see, touch and feel the product before I ever placed an order, which you cannot do when you by online or even in some of the high pressure dive shops! I tried on a lot of wetsuits with all the special high tech treatments and seam seals, etc. None of them felt good on my skin and most of them were too long or too tight and bigger sized had to be ordered and were subject to restocking fees if they were returned. When I met the guys at JMJ, I knew custom was the only way to go and I am glad I did. The process was easy, Jeff took measurements and two weeks later I walked out with a custom fit wetsuit. They even custom fit a pocket for my dive knife! The cost was only a few dollars more than one of the best Henderson's off the rack, but much better because it fit me like a glove and I got to pick the colors! JMJ makes a high quality product which I expect to have and enjoy for years, locally in Torrance. I HIGHLY recommend them. JMJ will be making me a 3mm wetsuit as soon as I can decide what colors I want. JMJ is conveniently located in Torrance, California, not far from the 110 freeway

I took my open dive certification course here and cannot recommend them enough. All of the…read moreinstructors I had have been incredible, and they make sure that every session has a good instructor to student ratio (the most I've had was 4 students per instructor). They also only offer boat dives as shore diving can turn off a lot of people to diving as it's so hard for beginners. Due to weather, my scheduled dive got cancelled, and I was worried that I would not be able to get certified before a vacation where I was planning to dive. Keline and Harry were extremely accommodating and went out of their way to make sure that I could go on my final dive to get my license. Will definitely be coming back for future scuba trips with them or if I decide to pursue a different certification

The crew is friendly and always right on top of helping you out with anything you need and they always have safety in mind. The food is excellent - gourmet even. The boat is roomy and comfortable and they allow you to board the night before to save you having to do an early morning drive. I was thrilled to find that Camp Surf had an option for the week of 6/7 while we were in the…read moreManhattan Beach area, as most other camps in California do not kick-off until a week or two later due to the state of California's school schedule. The sign up process was easy, so I did so online and locked it in! While my kids (8 and 9 years old) are very beginner surfers, they love the beach, and the laid back days and small group experience offered by Camp Surf was a prefect fit for both of them. We did not go in with high expectations to get them riding waves within days, so we were okay that there was not a ton of pressure to do so, but I imagine if you have expectations and kids interested in doing so, the Camp Surf staff will follow your guidance. Huge thanks to Cameron and Claire, their main counselors for the week for making sure they had fun first and foremost.

We were told it was because the counselors needed "a long break" and "just wanted to chill". Also didn't provide wetsuits. If you want to get rid of your kids, I guess you could bring them here. But if you want quality surfing and fun, NEVER EVER SIGN UP HERE! In addition, the instructors gave no instructions and let the young kids freerange!!!! Wtf
