They sped through packing up everything in RI and I was surprised when I heard from my friend that they were already en route to my home in MA. When I returned home that evening (my husband was home during the move), the first thing I saw were 3 large pieces of an armoire placed on top of my trash barrels outside with part of the facade laid on top. The remaining parts of the armoire were broken in multiple pieces. One shelf was missing. A painted bureau that had been in perfect condition prior was found to have a broken base that later completely collapsed. Three of the legs were split with missing shards. Another bureau had black streaks on the front. Finally, they were also unable to move an armoire out of a room, a piece was successfully moved into that same room years ago and that I was to deliver to a friend. This was absolutely the worst job I have ever seen. They do not even deserve one star. I provided detailed photo's of the broken parts to the company, but they made up their own version of the events and did not agree to a complete refund ($1280 with tip). They offered us $100 initially and then $300 when we protested. I now have to pay for the repairs and am not sure I will see any of the money. To add insult to injury I am missing a pair of gold earings that had been left in my room and suspect they may have taken them. My parent's independent living facility required that I select a mover on their "trusted" list. My brother had used Lawton movers the week prior based on the price they offered him and their seeming nice to deal with on the phone. Had they been careful and gone more slowly, they certainly would have made more money. In the end it would have paid off for me.

Wow, these guys are prompt, speedy and professional! At first I was a little skeptical, but Carlos…read moreand his crew were phenomenal. They showed up about 15 minutes early and emptied my apartment in record time. Granted, I had moved a lot of boxes myself but needed help with the big stuff. When we got to my new place, there was a challenge with the couch. I know, my fault for buying a couch from Macy's without measuring it to make sure it will fit through doors. However, these guys tried so hard and didn't give up!!!!! I was about to give up before them but they wouldn't let me - thanks guys! Overall, they probably were moving my stuff for about two hours (if that) and it was well worth the money!!!

We had a very negative experience with Woodland moving and will not be recommending them to any…read morefamily or friends in the future. We paid a significant premium over comparative moving companies for our large, in-town move because Woodland moving had been referred to us by a friend, and because at the initial assessment Mike seemed reliable and professional. First, the positive: the team loading the truck was fast and efficient and did not do any significant damage to the walls. Now for the issues: A $4000 cabinet was brought in with a completely sheared off leg and placed on that leg in an extremely precarious position. My mother happened to notice when it came off the truck, otherwise we would not have found out until the cabinet was nudged even slightly and toppled and broke further. When pointed out to the lead mover, he acted surprised and reprimanded the other staff even though he was the one that had brought the cabinet off the truck with a dangling leg. Our kids beds had several pieces missing during disassembly (which was done by the movers); the movers then spent several hours (mind you we are paying by the hour for this) trying to reassemble it, claimed that there was no issue even though it had clearly taken far longer than it should have, and then the bed collapsed on first use because it had been reassembled in a completely incorrect and precarious position to hide that pieces were missing. My kids had to sleep on floor mattresses for several weeks while we worked with woodland's claims department to get these beds replaced, and ultimately they failed to provide a reasonable solution other than giving us extra screws, and I ended up having to purchase wood and reconstruct the support legs for the bed myself to make it stable. When pointed out that a couch was missing its legs, were told it never had any legs... it did and was later found on the truck - screws for a TV stand were missing and had to be purchased and replaced another bed with a support leg misplaced and not constructed correctly There were further smaller issues that - all of this that just emphasized that the crew was not being methodical with disassembly (hence all the lost pieces), and were being frankly deceptive to hide that multiple items were missing or broken. Finally, we had purchased insurance for the move - thankfully - but because of the deductible still ended up eating a several hundred dollar loss because of all the broken items. We did finally get our bar cabinet repaired, but the furniture repair company reached out to me 1.5 months later to tell me that they still had not been paid by Woodland and had refused to return his calls or messages.
