After this many times, it's hard to believe it's not a management directive to cut corners. It's just awful. 3) They f up almost every order. Sprinkles Donut Shop - Rockford, Michigan A Sweet Stop That's Totally Worth It!…read more Sprinkles Donut Shop in Rockford, MI is a small, family-owned place that makes fresh, handmade donuts every day. It can be a little tricky to find -- my map sent me in circles and even through a gas station! The shop is tucked inside the same building as a Subway, but don't let that fool you. The donuts are amazing. When I walked in, everything was super clean, and the staff greeted everyone with big smiles. The donut selection is smaller than big chains, but every single donut looked fresh, neat, and delicious. I picked up a half‑dozen for under $10 (such a good deal! ) to share with my daughter... and maybe my son if he shows up. Here's what we got: * Apple Fritter - Crispy, full of apples, and covered in shiny glaze. So good. * Maple Cinnamon Roll - Soft, sweet, and one of the best I've ever had. The maple frosting is amazing! * Two Chocolate Cream Long Johns - Long, chocolatey, and filled with smooth cream. * Lemon Bismarck - Soft donut with bright, tangy lemon filling. Not too sweet! * Chocolate Bird's Nest - Chocolate frosting, colorful sprinkles, and a cute cream "nest." Fun AND tasty! The only downside is the distance -- if this place were closer to Cedar Springs, I'd be in trouble. (Seriously, a little popup case at the American Legion would be perfect for coffee runs! ) Bottom line: Sprinkles is fresh, friendly, affordable, and full of heart. Treat yourself to some donut happiness!

They have the donut case that has all the classics and then some. They had cookies, breads and other baked goods prepackaged for sale, too. Cooler of beverages next to a cooler with cold items like cakes. I think they had other knickknacks for sale, too? Not sure if it was Tom behind the counter who helped me, but whoever it was was very kind and welcoming. I grabbed 3 blueberry donuts and one paczki (because it was Fat Tuesday and it felt like a crime it I didn't). My two boys and my husband devoured their donuts this AM and really liked them! They split the paczki btw the 3 of them and they thought it was delish. I always forget about Tom's but it is so close to our house, I need to make a point to remember to stop in more often. I found the restaurant to be incredibly warm which was a bit uncomfortable for me. Nothing was standing out to me, so I did settle on the big breakfast because I'm a fan of a little of everything and this way I didnt have to choose. It originally came without the bacon, but that was quickly remedied. The sourdough bread was good, their pancakes are a bit on the sweet side and not cakey (cakey is actually what I prefer), the eggs and meats were standard (sausage link was kind of like a brown n serve, bacon was on the crispy side if that's your jam.) but tasted good. I enjoyed the american fries. Only other small complaint is the syrup caraf was, even visibly, covered in syrup making it impossible to pick up without totally sticky hands. Could have used some wet naps. It was overall, a very slow experience and we didn't get out of there until 2:41. The service was friendly. The decor is cute and retro.
