Chicken + Tofu over cabbage

This is a neighborhood quick eat Chinese hibachi spot. Fast service, good price, tasty food, and modifiable for low carb eaters. I like how they don't over sauce the food, rather they ask if you want sauce or not, for more health conscious eaters, this is a much healthier way to eat flat cooktop food. Inside restaurant is very clean with simple furnitures layout, efficient and serves its purpose. Definitely recommend by @winedinenvacay

I saw bad reviews for this place so i was skeptical to try it. I saw reviews saying food was kept in buckets . Not what your like to read about. I got the chicken and beef with rice and veggie, it was a simple plate with not much kick. Yum yum is extra . It was reasonable priced and quick so that was a plus but not sure if i would come out of my way here.

All things delicious. Will absolutely be back. I ordered a…read morewagyu skewer, empress roll, and one other thing I'm blanking on right now. Got to try several friends' ramen broths. They mentioned the kaarage was some of the best they'd had stateside; the salmon tartare was also lovely. It's decorated nicely and servers were accommodating for my friend with dietary restrictions. Hope to visit again soon!

The service is a hit or a miss depending on who you get, sometimes great and sometimes a bit slow. But not horrible. The food. So this is known for their ramen. I think that their ramen is solid, not amazing but good. Decent broth flavor and good chew in the noodles, I personally prefer a hotter broth, but it comes out slighter warmer than room temp (not my fav, but still good). The Chashu is usually good most of the time, tender and not too chewy, there was a few times that it was meh, but most of the time it's good! The ramen, 3.5/5 The Izakaya part. The yakitori is lacking. The chicken thigh should be the most tender and flavorful but it was so dry (how can you mess up dark meat?) and lacked depth in flavor. Chicken 1.5/5 The US Wagyu is mediocre. You can tell that it's US cause it's tough. Sometimes it's tender and great and other times it's a bit tough. Steak 3/5 The sushi. Mhm, the sushi is so expensive a bit overpriced doe what you get, and I'm not sure if it's worth it. Their special rolls are ~ $20 range, but the size of the roll is about the same as their "standard rolls" seems not worth that premium price. Usually at most sushi places their special rolls are larger in size and makes it worth paying more for. Even their standard nirgri prices are double than most places. I have gotten a variety of rolls over the years and it's honestly just okay. Good sushi, but small and super overpriced. 3/5

Sushi rolls were all great and fresh. Yellow tail hibachi I was just a little different on the flavor , but it was very fresh and presented in a beautiful way. I also got Wago beef rice. Rice was great, very flavorful. but I was not a fan of the beef - It was couple huge pieces. Rea tender. Not your typical way of beef in fried rice. Yet fresh and good. I would come and try other dishes.

Takumi Japanese Bistro and Bar…read more My first visit to this welcome addition to our local mall. The restaurant blends modern and traditional Japanese design and occupies the former space where a coffee shop once stood. There is ample free parking outside, though Friday evenings in this part of Columbia are notoriously busy. Food -- Thoughtfully presented, visually appealing, and made with fresh ingredients. Seafood Miso Soup -- A large bowl filled with whole fresh clams, scallops, shrimp, and green onion. A very generous portion--so much so that she brought some home to enjoy later. Salmon Skin Salad -- Pieces of salmon skin ranging from crispy to slightly chewy, mixed with cucumber, fish roe, spicy mayo, and eel sauce. A delicious combination. Signature Maki - "Maryland" Roll -- Beautifully presented with blue crab, shishito peppers (mild and slightly sweet), Old Bay-torched salmon, spicy mayo, and rice pearls. Both friends quickly devoured theirs. Prices felt somewhat higher than typical mall fare, but the freshness of the ingredients and attention to detail made it worthwhile. The entire staff we encountered were engaging and genuinely seemed happy to be there for their guests. A big nod to management for making hospitality an important part of the dining experience. One minor suggestion: the attractive menus could use periodic checks, as a few pages appeared a bit worn. I would happily recommend a visit--perhaps on a less hectic day so you can enjoy the décor and food at a more relaxed pace. There is also an outdoor patio that will be especially appealing once the warmer weather returns.

I know that this review might not seem very fair because I am not talking about the food or…read moreanything about the restaurant directly. But why show up for the food if you can't even get a table!! But I was extremely disappointed with their reservation system. I had put in a request for a reservation more than 24 hrs before the intended time and while yes I never received a "confirmation" and on the email it does say "this is not a confirmation", however, I have never had such a poor reservation system experience with any other restaurant. I had shown up in to the restaurant in the bitter cold and paid for parking only to find that they never confirmed the reservation on their end. SMH. And was an hour wait....EXACTLY why I wanted to make a reservation to avoid all of this. Moral of the story, don't trust their reservation system, if you want a table.

Some patrons have serious reactions that can be life threatening and that's the last thing I needed. Almost just got up and left. Fortunately we didn't see him again after asking to stay far away. Masks do nothing for fragrance. Ordered food and appetizers were ok. We did a 4 person grill set for 3 of use the food arrived far earlier than the drinks did. The water we had was tap water and wasn't good at all. Would have got a soda but with bad water not gonna try. Out of the beer I wanted but had something that worked. Ladies got drinks. Small and expensive and mostly ice. Tasted fine. The meat came and was displayed well with names of cuts to see what it was. Some dipping sauces were provided but small portions. Refilled after asking. Those were good. Meats were enough and the. Some for the three of us. The price...stupid pricing. Way stupid pricing. Meger amount of veggies to grill, all just left there. Overall, a good experience but the price is not having us back, ever. Third time ever there. It's a glam price and good for one time and done. I do better at home at 1/4 the price here....NYC style prices...did I mention stupid prices. Yeah...nah.
