I've enjoyed the sushi and hibachi since moving to the area 6 years ago, my favorite choice in the Eldersburg area. Portions are generous and the buy 3 get 1 roll deal is a great value. The staff is always wonderful. On my recent order there was some miscommunication and an item was skipped. I called and immediately was offered a credit to make up for the errors. Unfortunately I dined at this establishment on 3.31.2026 I was enjoying my meal when it was time for the cook to throw the shrimp to catch. I explicitly said I did NOT want to participate because I was already chewing. He ignored my request to not participate and threw the shrimp anyways while I was in the middle of chewing. I missed the shrimp and then immediately after I missed, he threw another shrimp which hit my eye and it stung very badly. They denied my request to speak with a manager regarding the situation because I felt very uncomfortable and in pain. I asked if the cook could please issue me an apology because I DID NOT consent to having him throw shrimp at me. And they used the excuse of him "just having fun". After multiple times of me asking to have him apologize to me because I felt very uncomfortable the cook walked by and all he said was "sorry" and then laughed at me. I felt very exposed and embarrassed. My eye still stings and they did nothing to remedy the situation. It is a safety hazard and can cause serious damage. I do hope they do a better job of listening to their guests & making sure their guests feel safe. read more

This place is located in a shopping center and if you're not looking you will miss it totally! Good and bad as you want/need to be visible but at the same time I wouldn't want to have to wait(lol) when I'm coming in for dinner. It's so beautiful inside and a perfect date night vibe. Yes they have the tables with the grills where you get to see your he magic(a little kid was at our table and said this when they lit the onion) or you can have a quiet place surrounded by red curtains and music playing for a one on one. I love the atmosphere and your welcoming experience. They do check in you periodically, some places ignore once your seated, but there was never a time my cup wasn't refilled. My daughter is in love with fried rice and flames so of course we needed to find a (more) local spot for a chef to throw food into her mouth. We tried Tony's since it was closer than Sakura. Came to this establishment to celebrate my daughter's 5th grade graduation. I was happy that they were able to accommodate a large party of 16 people with short notice. We were seated right away, and although all of the members of our party were not present initially, the service was pretty slow. We waited about 30 minutes before even placing our order, and another 30 minutes as they prepped the food in the back. So over an hour before receiving our cooked entree. Prices were kind of steep, but not ridiculous. On the plus side I liked that we were all able to share a table and memories together. I love to eat at Tony's and would recommend the food. Today decided to order to take out. The meal came with salad, yum, broth, yum I ordered chicken and scallops with fried rice. SO DISAPPOINTED!! The chicken was dry hard and could not eat. The fried rice I think they forgot to fry. The rice was mushy and unflavored. The scallops were also dry, it tasted like the were made yesterday. Have eaten here for well over 20 years. In those 20 years many life experiences have changed when and if we eat out. Got injured on the job and can no longer work. Income has decreased dramatically. But we went back to Tony's for Saturday night dinner. First thing I noticed was how cold it was in the restaurant. Then how they have cut back on portions they serve. Then Tony sees us and starts to complain to us that he doesn't see us much anymore. I explain that our lives have changed and it's a 21 mile trip for us and that I lost my job of 24 years due to an injury on the job. He did not care at all. Telling us "well you still need to eat, come here to eat. Spread the money around", he says to us several times. It was if he did not hear a word that I said. How totally disrespectful and hurt my wife and I felt for him to talk to us like that. Well Tony, don't know if we'll be back any time soon. I guess in all these years you never learned anything about customer service and the basics of being kind to people. read more

I happened to be in the area and took my daughter and niece to hibachi. We were seated quickly, but had to wait longer than the party that came after us. My overall impression was that the place was old/dated. The place was just dark and the colors just didn't work out. The room where we sat was dark and I just wasn't a fan. The cook was good and did some tricks, but not as cool as some of the other hibachi places I have visited before. The food wasn't as good as other hibachi places, although the taste was good, we saw our cook/chef make the food and he basically put a ton of butter and yum yum sauce on everything; All the food is smothered in sauce. Worst experience ever: We went on a Friday. It was not my first experience but not the best this time. 1. We had to wait for 40 minutes before the cook came. 2. The table was not clean yet the cook started as it was. 3. The cook burnt the eggs and rice and didn't hesitate to mix the food. 4. We were 6 people and they added 2 more without letting us know. 5. Great sushi, great specials throughout the week. Prices are reasonable too. Waitress was hard to understand but friendly enough. She didn't bring us miso soup or edamame after putting it on our order card. We had to ask for the soup when the sushi arrived, but then I ended up not eating all my soup because the sushi came and once I jumped in I couldn't go back to the soup. I use to go to another Japanese hibachi place that was not far from Tony's. However, one day I was craving that sweet sweet hibachi and decided to look up ones near Owings Mills and Tony's was one of them, the prices were cheaper (albeit a little less) than its competition down the road. Nevertheless, I actually enjoy the steak and chicken hibachi from Tony's and the noodles are great. The portions at takeout are extremely generous. Only minor criticism I have is the birthday gift is a bit time restricted, but nothing too serious. read more

He worked really hard to get food out to his customers, and got us our food in record time, with enough to feed a couple families. If I could give this place 0 stars I would... a group of 17 of us made a reservation for their private room. We showed up and they had given away our table in the private room. Strike 1. They were late accommodating us at a new table (45 mins late). Strike 2. They did not have clean water glasses, only one waitress was trying to wait on all 17 of us. And in the 30 minutes we waited for a chef, we didn't even get our drink orders. Strike 3. Also, the waitress didn't know what a vodka soda was and brought us a coke... smdh Very disappointed. we stopped on valentine's day , while driving through maryland. It was packed out,but we had the kindest man who waited on us. He was working in the sushi bar but, sat and served us.
