It is, in fact, a tiny "general store" that is inconspicuous and easily missed. It sits right on a two-lane coastal "highway," barely 1/4 mile from Lake Michigan, but would just as likely be found in some backwater Alabama swamp (not an insult, just an ambience). They have a small deli in the back and the young unassuming young guy making pizzas and other baked goods. He seemed nice, albeit so what suspicious. There was also a quintessential old farmer-type playing lottery scratch-offs by scratching off the barcode without actually playing the game on the front, then communicating with the cashier woman on a first name basis (Sarah). What a weird experience. I'm always interested in the colorful characters these tiny little towns and their stores. The pizza? Some of the best I've found south of Holland. The sauce had a hint of sweetness, and the crust had a couple of semi burnt bubbles that added to the delicious crunch of the crust. The taste may not be worthy of a five, but certainly a Midwest tiny-town-in-the-middle-of-nowhere five, and certainly worth a visit for pizza, miscellaneous baked goods... or beer, wine, and lottery.

When I told them that Emma had quoted me the price they yelled at Emma and sent her back to the kitchen and embarrassed her in front of all of the customers waiting in line. Afternoon some discussion they did give them to me at the price that was quoted and then preceded to tell me never to come back again and to get out of the store. They were so rude. I would go to the Glen store all the time as I live down the road, now I will never go there again. And let everyone know about my experience. I can't believe how they treated a customer.

I found out they are a "State Minimum" store so they sell at the least amount the state of Michigan will allow. This is excellent when you are trying to find rare bottles of bourbon like I am usually looking for. Staff is super nice when I go in. They are locally owned and I love supporting local businesses.

(There are tarps, but water still got under some.) We found a dry bundle, and paid via the honor box. Dogs are not allowed inside, but there are several trees with "dog parks," (spots to hook up your dog,) while you go inside. Each is on grass, and spaced out so that dog can not reach each other.

Located in the former beloved Russo's space, the owners of Mega-Bev kept some of the gourmet grocery items and deli space in their new store. It's pretty genius to me - you can get everything you need for your party or picnic here. They have a ton of variety and I was overwhelmed looking at everything. We ended up getting a mixed 6 pack of some interesting drinks I've never seen before, which is always fun. You get a discount for making a 6 pack! The person who rang up our purchases was super friendly and let us know about some interesting new products. I don't make it to this part of town that often, but it's definitely a great spot if you need some booze!
