They are all professional and friendly (which seems to be rare these days). They did my smog check very quickly. Then I noticed they do paint restoration. I had some peeling clearcoat and paint on my ten year old Toyota, so I asked about that. They gave me a good estimate and scheduled me very quickly. They did the work in about 24 hours after I dropped off my vehicle. Now it looks like new! They also gave me good advice to let the clearcoat cure for a couple of days before washing the car. With a car that has over 200,000 miles, I expected that repairs would be needed sooner or later. After going to one repair shop and getting a consultation, I was told that I would need a new water pump, thermostat, thermostat gasket, serpentine belt, and pulleys. That shop quoted me $1,300. In a way, the price justified the repairs, but it was out of my reach. I called a few places in Watsonville and got advice to either take my car in to the dealership (not going to happen) or got a quote for $1,100 to only fix the water pump and thermostat and not the other repairs. Luckily, after talking to Macario on the phone, he was able to get me a direct estimate to my email with the name of all the parts and its prices and the labor charge. I even got a second estimate in order to account for potential fluctuations. I couldn't wait for my car to be done later throughout the week, as I needed my car for the weekend. I was able to drop off my car yesterday around 6pm and picked up my car today at 3pm without an appointment. It was all so last minute, as I called around 3:30 yesterday to inquire. Macario and his team are so fast! He showed me all the old parts that were taken out of the car and explained what was wrong with each of them. I paid $995.99 for the total cost of repairs, which included a new water pump with gasket and o-rings, thermostat and gasket, serpentine belt, idler pulleys, coolant, and an accessory belt tensioner pulley. I saved $300! And the chunking noise is now gone, putting my worries to rest. Looks like I found a new reliable mechanic to go to when my car needs fixing. Thank you Macario!
