The mechanic doing the smog check is a compete jerk, no customer service skills whatsoever and he knowingly charges higher than everywhere else. He knew my car wouldn't pass and still went ahead with the test anyway and charged me $160 and smugly says, "no good! I report to the dmv." I also brought my work truck in and the instant it was done with the smog he's screaming to get the truck out of there, it's taking up too much space. He was also complaining that "too many people" are coming to get smog service done. Must be nice to be that successful that you're complaining about customers. I have no idea how this place has so many 5 star reviews. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

My second time visiting this shop and I got my smog check here the other day with my brother. My accord passed but unfortunately my brother's crx didn't. Passed results automatically get sent to the DMV so you don't have to do anything. Staff was professional as far as management and office goes. Wait time wasn't long at all. I like this place because even if my brother's car didn't pass, they didn't pressure him to get things fixed there. They weren't shady and didn't try to bs for money and business. My brother and I know about cars and how to work on them, they were being honest when it came to the crx's problems. We knew it wouldn't pass, but needed paper work in the mean time while fixing it before it gets registered. Overall good management and staff, service was great both times with no issues. read more

Made an appointment to get my tires aligned, drove 35 min to get here based on a recommendation. When I got in I said I had called the previous day about alignment services. I was told the person I made my appointment with wasn't there today and "didn't leave any notes" about my appointment (yet some how they knew that I made and appointment and who I made the appointment with..?) and that they were too busy and would not see me today. I explained that I had just drive over 30min and had been told to come in at a specific time and was met with an unapologetic blank stare. I felt like I was in a 'shouting match' all I did was follow what other's on Yelp did. Told the smog guy I found them on Yelp. (I did) Instead of the regular $65.00 4-26-2016 I paid $60 But at what cost? It was plain to see the smog guy (name being with held) was highly flustered at the fact I asked if I was getting a discount for mentioning Yelp. He explained to me in extremely high decibels and I mean "shouting loud" that they do not advertise on Yelp. I felt like he was trying to do some back peddling. I told him I located that business "smog only" on Yelp because I needed a smog only. Told him I read the reviews. He proceeded to tell me Yelp is constantly harassing their business and trying to get money out of them for 'advertising' do to the good reviews. He went on to remind me that their company does Not Advertise on Yelp. All in uncomfortable loud annoying tone. So what do I do? Yell/talk just as loud as he. He kept running over my words so I went down to his level and did the same. The only difference was I was not angry or mad. I don't think he liked or expected a customer to do that LOL I then lowered my voice and gave him an example. Told him if I was going to eat at a new restaurant I would review it prior to going then I would review it afterwards just like I'm going to Review my Experience with this business. It's just what we do here in the High Tech Valley. Then and only then did he say, "ok, $60.00" as he handed me the invoice. He hand was shaking. Was it from aggravation or frustration or both? I don't appreciate being Yelled at. I'm a grown adult. Had we have been in a different situation we might have boxed sucka. According to other's on Yelp I was suppose to mention Yelp for a discount. I saved $5.00 and got yelled at and it was Not Quick LOL. Just take note Mr. Smog guy. It's not my problem as a consumer Yelp calls the business you work at and asks for money for advertising as you explained to me over and over. Stop taking it out on your customers. The next time you yell it might not be such a great idea. You were lucky I was reading the book "The Secret" and in a Zen mood, trust me it spared you this time from meeting Mr. Tasmanian devil. You might not get so lucky the next time if you do that to the wrong guy. I won't be going back and neither will any of my family members or co-workers. I have already warned them. The middle aged Vietnamese owner with the slicked back salt and pepper hair must have been a Vietnamese pop star back in the old country choosing only to escape that life because being nationally acclaimed, scrutinized under the celebrity spotlight was not the life for him. Instead he puts his award winning smile and skills into making your experience at QSCC the best dang smog-check experience you ever did have; all the while lying low from his former life. I truly believe these guys carry the true essence of the American dream, as red white and blue as the flag patch on James's shop shirt. FAST, FRIENDLY service at a price that neither undercuts himself, his competitors or the consumer. ($65). These are all true accounts based on first hand experience. Also just FYI, i was a fool and reset my battery a week before the test and failed because the onboard "readiness sensors" had not yet reported that the car was ready to be tested. Without a OBD2 reader you can't really know if the car has reported readiness, so I drove around for 50 miles, bought a OBD2 reader and verified that the sensors had indeed come on. QSCC gave me a free retest and I was on my way! thanks a bunch James, you the bomb. See you in 2 years. read more

I went last weekend for a smog. I was very happy they were opened on a Saturday. I called ahead to make sure they were open, went in without an appt and was in and out. I don't remember the guys name (too lazy to find paperwork to get actual techs name) but he was friendly and fast and efficient. I had my kids with me so being able to get in and out was great.
