I was impressed by their professionalism and teamwork (by a crew of four, utilizing built-in radios in their helmets for communications). They did an excellent job cleaning the slash and stacking logs to be processed for firewood. They showed up on time and completed the job in four hours, including a trip back to their shop to bring in a tracked excavator. I've worked with two other tree service companies and Wilcox is by far a "monadnock" by comparison, both in terms of performance and cost. Wilcox will be my "go-to" company for all future tree work! He devised a plan to preserve as much of the original pine walls as possible and integrated the new pieces beautifully. He identified the root of the problem - leaks at the chimney - and he had it sealed and patched fast. We then made a surprise discovery - our old log beam mantle had rotted through. We had no idea how we would find a piece of wood that would match the cabin and Jim worked magic. In two hours he found a gorgeous salvage mantle replacement - amazing. I can't recommend them more highly thoughtful, hard working and collaborative. He solved all of our problems and we plan to work with him as our go to crew from now on.

Service came out and replaced the (supposedly) brand new batteries. The chair operated for 2 weeks, then started showing error code 9 - "Service Technician required". Then in May, dead again. Another service call - still showing error code 9 but All-Ways is not willing to do anything about it - "Just use it until it dies again".

Again, I can…read moreonly comment on customer service as I've still not hired them to do any work; this is just to add more details regarding my deep disappointment in communications with them. On the day of my original review post, I received a call from Mark. He hadn't seen my review, he was calling to follow up, asking if I've had my trees removed yet. we talked a bit with my explaining that we were still waiting for the updated/correct draft/estimate of the full work we wanted done. He said he'd come by, look at my property again and work on getting the estimate completed (I was hopeful); however, shortly after my conversation with Mark (same day), Karen called me, told me she read my review and didn't like it (imagine that) and asked what could be done to get it removed. There was no apology, nor any suggestions or offers on how to correct things! I told her we'd have to wait and see what Mark comes up with. a week later, on July 22, Mark calls me to say that he's come up with a plan that he thinks covers everything I wanted and will have it sent to me...still nothing, so I called Mark on July 28, left a voicemail asking about status. Here it is August 10th (2 months since initial visit) and all we have seen is the company doing work on a neighbor's home, the past week.
