Worst experience ever, I went to get an oil change and literally right after I left my car was shaking I couldn't go back because I had to pick up my daughter from daycare but I went back the very next day and the manager was unprofessional and over defensive instead of trying to help saying that they did nothing wrong as I'm explaining to him my car wasn't shaking like that before I came in, his response was cars can do anything at any moment, instead of admitting fault or being logical about the situation he continued to argue with me that it wasn't their fault as if he personally worked on my car (which he didn't) so he cannot say that one of the workers didn't make a mistake which btw they, looked like teenagers with no real mechanic experience, will NEVER come here again and don't recommend it to anyone read more

I've gone to Quick Oil a few times, mostly for oil changes. Once, they told me my headlight was out (it was). So they installed a new one and didn't bother to see if it was working (it didn't) which pointed to an electrical issue. It's fine they didn't catch it at first, but them clearly not testing the service before I paid for it was a huge red flag. Nonetheless, I went back to have them check out a clangy sound in my wheel well. They tried to charge me $1,000 for a bunch of other things. I refused the extra service and paid for only a new set of sway bars, which they assured me was making the noise. A few hours later I pick it up, and the noise is still clearly there. I loop around back into their service area. The manager takes me under the car to show what they did. He pointed to a rusted piece of metal in the wheel well which was obviously the source of the clanging sound. He took it out after I pressed him on it. Really really really sloppy work in general and very disingenuous business practices make this a terrible place to do anything other than an oil change. It's a shame because they are so close to me, but I will never go there again. read more

We took it back, and they wanted to charge us to fix it...which we found odd since the oil light was not going off prior to the oil change. Asked friends for a trusted mechanic to double check everything. Turns out the oil filter had not been changed in forever. The current one in the car was filthy and falling apart. Took my own supplies to have my oil change, such as oil and OEM Honda filter which is blue in color. They stole my OEM filter and replaced it with a cheap generic one. To make matters worse the under body plastic skid plate was not installed correctly causing the plastic plate to come lose, drag on the ground and get damaged. It was missing 4 clips and 2 screws! If it wasn't for the skid plate to come lose I wouldn't notice that they purposely stole the OEM filter and used their own. This is not only wrong, but classifiers as fraud! A follow up compliant will be provided to the IG, BBB and corporate. A business like this shouldn't be in existence let alone allowed to operate! Updating my review from earlier when I gave this place a better review. We got our oil changed here and then took our car to a neighboring mechanic to get our brakes fixed. The mechanic who checked our brakes mentioned there was oil all around the plug at the bottom of the car so we should go back to get the plug checked and replaced. This is a service that needs to be done during an oil change and should have been caught during the oil change. Quick oil checked it out and quoted us for a new oil pan plus a new oil change (~$450). They wouldn't be able to tell if a new oil pan was needed without draining the oil first. It felt like I was being quoted the most expensive service without even considering this could have been avoided during the oil change I just had. Needless to say, I will not return since this was the second thing in one trip that was not to my satisfaction. The first being they didn't fill the air in my tires when I asked during the first oil change. read more

I showed up before Christmas to get my tires looked at and the guys were able to help me showing that all four tires had tire rot, and my back breaks were starting to rust over. They showed me each bit and didn't try to upsell me or anything. They were incredible taking the car in right that day where everywhere else was saying it wouldn't be until the end of the week (we were leaving on a road trip a couple days later.) The new tires are great, and having the back breaks fixed the car feels so much better. Pricing was super fair and I will absolutely be coming back here for all my car needs. read more

Not sure why I keep coming to this place over and over other than the convenience to be close to my house. The second time I come here with a low tire indicator on and they did not even bother to put air. Ha, but they ask if would like a new filter or top the fluid reservoir for an additional $5 but they could not add a few pounds of pressure to the tire. I noticed this on my way out but was not going to even trouble them... Next time i will go somewhere else..... I was trying to save money and called around to see where I can get an oil change. I deliver with the different apps. I should have gone to pepboys or jiffy lube and would have paid less with the discount you can get. I know people have bad experience with those two companies. I called quick oil and asked how much their oil change would be and whoever answered said it was around $55 before taxes, I asked if they give discount for Uber drivers and he said only $3. I go to the shop and I asked how much it would be and I assume it was the supervisor or who ever takes the payment said I had to pay for the most expensive one which was $82.99!!! I asked if I can get the cheaper one and he said no and that the most expensive one was what my car required..... I asked if there was a discount for Uber drivers and this time he said $5. In the end still paid $85, at least $25 more than either jiffy lube or pep boys. read more

I pulled up here with my dogs in the car. There was no waiting, and all the guys said hello to the dogs (which wasn't necessary for my oil change experience, but really pleased me). They gave me the upgraded oil for $47, a new air filter for $20, wiper blades for $11, and made all the warnings lighting up my dashboard go away. They didn't do that thing like they do at jiffy lube where you feel like if you don't spend $280 on your oil change, the car will fall off the wheels when you drive away. Flashback: I went to Quick Oil about four months ago to get my oil changed. It was fairly quick, though not really the cheapest oil change I've ever experienced (it was $50ish due to the fact that I got "High Mileage" oil, but even the standard oil was in the mid-$30s). Fast forward to yesterday. I needed another oil change and these guys are just down the road from me. Plus, my rear passenger tire had a slow leak, and as they do tire service, I figured I would ask them to take a look. The oil change part was still quick enough, though they did show me "my" air filter and told me it was dirty and that they could replace it for $18. I was fine with this, until they started showing everyone else who came in "their" air filters and said that they needed to be replaced. I mean, what are the odds that 100% of their patrons (6 or 7 people) had air filters that needed to be replaced? Seems a little fishy... As far as the tire leak, they informed me that the tire was not on the rim correctly and that they had to re-position it. Easy fix, right? One hour later, and I still did not have my car back. I also happened to notice that it $95 for one mechanical labor hour. To their credit, I was not charged, but I have to wonder if it was because they overheard me talking to the other guy sitting by me about how there is NO way it takes an hour to re-position a tire on a rim. I can understand if it was super busy, but this was not the case. Definitely better, less expensive places to go for an oil change, and FOR SURE better places to go for car repairs. read more

DISHONEST and tried to SCAM ME! AVOID! I got an emission test this morning and it told me my engine code for my Toyota Camry was P0446 - EVAP Emission Control System Vent Control Circuit. I went to Quick Oil and had them run a similar check to be sure / diagnose how to fix the issue. They said it would take 40 mins. I waited for 2 hours. It got to the point where no other cars were around and the guys were just laughing and carrying on in the other room. I asked them what the hold up was and they said they had someone working on it. I went and looked... empty room with my car just up on a lift. The benefit of waiting that long? I googled the issue on my phone. Started reading Toyota forums on the issue. Saw how much a replacement EVAP canister would be. GLAD I DID THIS RESEARCH! When the guy came back he said the canister costs $340 and the labor was $180 so all together ~$530. The problem. I had just looked at Google shopping for the exact same part.. average price you might ask? ~$50 for a high end canister. I will not be coming back to these unprofessional and dishonest mechanics and I advise you to not either. read more

I came for my regular oil change and came out with my car having more problems. I had to get a new batter because they did something to it then they had me pay for a service they said I needed because I had too much carbon in my engine. However, when I took it to my mechanic they told me that they messed up one of my pipes because they forced it out. So I had to replace broken parts and I still had to pay Quick Oil for the service because I needed to get my car home. When I asked the manager at quick oil what they did that made my car start acting different he was quick to blame me in an aggressive tone. It seems kinda strange to be giving a 5 star review to something as mundane as an oil change. But for someone who has suffered for years going to Jiffy Lube or Valvoline or any of the other big chain places, this place made my day. It was about 12pm on a Saturday, usually the busiest time to try to take your car somewhere to get service. I checked the Yelp reviews for an oil change close by, and lo and behold, this place had 2 great reviews. So I tried it. There was absolutely no other cars there, I pulled right through and as soon as I turned off my car, 7 oil change ninjas jumped out and began checking over my car. I filled out my info stepped outside for a second, and then turned around and they were done. Honestly, it could not have been more than 10 min. $30 and I was done. They sold me a new air filter but that was it. No extra services being pushed. Easy to get to and no hassles. I'll be taking my car here from now on. read more

Salesmen. With oil types, I understand. They try to get you to purchase the better, more expensive synthetic brand. However, what will make me never go back is when they make up issues to sell you on other services. I asked for a tire rotation and they came back to me saying that they looked at my tires and could not do it. They said I had a problem with my shocks and they would need to be replaced. They also said I had alignment issues that needed to be fixed. I was shown my tire treads and they said, "Look, these are bad," saying that it was a result of the above issue. I'm not very educated on tire treads, but didn't want to trust them out-right, so I ended up going to a separate mechanic to get a second opinion. There was nothing wrong with my treads. Everything was checked out and there were no issues in general, aside from my wasted time. This is what Quick Oil does. They need to sell people on extra goods, so they push services and products on people whether they need them or not. I will not go here ever again. read more

They recommended a totally unnecessary power steering fluid flush for $45.99. This place is one of those auto shops that charge you for things that you don't need in order to steal more money from you. I'm never going back there again. On top of that, he wanted to recommend replacing the wipers, belt, and air filter too. Good thing I refused these 'repairs'. My total bill along with high mileage oil change was $99.98. Don't come here for your oil changes or they will rip you off. F this place. I have previously gone to Pit Pros in Evanston exclusively for my oil change ($26.95 and always quick, friendly service). Since Evanston is out of the way from my current apartment, I decided to try out Quick Oil. I figured it would be a deal since I even had a yelp checkout discount. Somehow, even with that, I ended up being charged more than double what I usually pay for an oil change. Granted, I did get my air filter changed (who knows whether I really needed it, but I figured it couldn't hurt for 10 bucks).. but I'm wondering what the other thirty bucks was for. Basically I think they're a bunch of jerks that try to trick people like me (generally clueless about car matters) into thinking that their car suddenly and mysteriously only takes a "special" kind of oil. Ugh, whatever. I was tired from work, they had my car pulled in, and were beating around the bush on what the final price would be. I should have taken my lazy ass out of there, but I didn't, so I'll take responsibility for buying their BS. I sure as hell won't be back though. /end semi-vulgar rant. read more

Isn't this place awesome? They are very fast, very friendly, and there is usually not a long wait here, maybe 10 minutes at the most to get your car in, another 10 for the change. Last time I went, I expected them to say I need a new air filter . . . after all, dont you always need one of those when you get your oil changed, regardless of real need? Most places will try to jack up the bill to $100 bucks or so, but these guys said . . .oh, we changed your filter last time, you dont need another one. This is the only place I've taken my car to get it's oil change. Its superquick and the other reviewers weren't lying about the 5 people working on your car as soon as you drive it in. My car was done so quickly and I have nothing but good things to say about this place. The $30 is totally worth it. They check everything and put air in your tires as well as fill up your washer fluid. I cant give 5 stars just yet because I still have to try their other services, soon I will be needing a tire rotation so I'll have to update for that. read more

Expensive oil change for a place you have to check your car to make sure they actually put oil in it. They also told me my serpentine belt had cracks and needed to be replaced. I decided to replace it myself... When I went to go replace it, the current one had zero cracks and looked fine... seriously these dudes are shady. read more

When in for a noise they claimed the tierod had it replace the noise is still there now they talking that it's probably the rack and pinion. They are dishonest and it is a high-stress environment. They push upgrades on you and their advice is not in the best interest of the customer. I brought my vehicle in for an oil change and they stripped the pan. They patched it with a universal plug and never told me. I called in and the manager told me that the universal plug is supposed to last 1 year. I told him that I didn't ask for a universal plug... I asked for an honest oil change. The oil plug leaked on my oxygen sensors and now they too need to be replaced. The total cost of the damages is in the thousands... Fast, friendly and inexpensive. I recommend Quick Oil for those of you who like an easy, cheap oil change for your car. They also do other types of maintenance like alignments, tire rotation, fluids check, etc. The staff is friendly and will suggest plenty of other upgrades to your service without being too aggressive. After all, it is a business. Service was superfast and only paid $31 for my oil change. The facilities are clean and there is plenty of space in the waiting area. Not a lot of magazines to read, but there is a TV always on. Added bonus: If you get hungry, there was a gentleman that came by offering fresh tamales.
