Double Cheese Burger

This go round--not too good. This is my first time having it at night, apparently they were backed up and ran out of ingredients, I had to wait longer than normal for the food... and once I received it, it wasn't was I was expecting/wishing/hoping for. The buns were 'spongey', they got my order wrong by giving me a beef burger instead of turkey like I requested, and also fries were below mediocre. Might be a while since I come back. But I hope they received another star. Cause my if my memory serves me correctly, that first time was delish. Let's get back to greatness !

Quick n Split - Inglewood

Its a hood spot. If you know you know. Love this place. Food: Okay so the food is bangin no matter what you get FACTS!! But damn it takes forever to get your food. Don't know what the cook is doing but be prepared to wait at least 30 minutes minimum everytime. I'd you got peoples in front of you good luck! But damn it good. That's why I keep coming back. Service: The staff is cool very laid back and chill. Customer service could be better. No body is welcoming you or smiling or even telling you to give me a minute. They just walking away and getting to you when they get to you. Simple communication can change that while experience. But again the staff is nice. Atmosphere: There is no atmosphere. They have no tables inside the business to sit at and it's a order to go situation unless you want to eat in the parking lot driveway. Most people order and wait in the car. You can also pick your food up at a side window in the parking lot to save you time from walking back into the front door. Price: Prices have gone up a little but nothing to crazy. It won't stop me from getting a turkey taco. Location: i It's in Inglewood CA on Chrenshaw Blvd. and 108th St. Inside of the WE CUP CAKE Store. It's a turquoise and purple building can't miss it. Parking: They have parking in the back of the restaurant.

NASTY Six Tacos Combo with Fries and a soda.

I was thrilled to see that Quick N Split was available on DoorDash. Imagine my disappointment when the food arrived. The fries and tacos were absolutely horrible. It doesn't even compare to when Quick N Split was on La Cienega and Manchester in Inglewood. These were the worst tacos I have ever had. I ordered the Six-Taco Combo (three turkey and three beef), which was a huge mistake. I could not tell the turkey from the beef. I ate two of the tacos, and both were horrible. The best thing I had was the soda. The other four tacos were thrown away. What a waste of money!

Just like the old days. Very good tacos and burgers and can't forget the ice cream. Service is kind of slow but good things come to those who wait. Reasonable prices much better than the one on Centinella.

Anyway- I came because a friend was raving about Salt and Straw and swore by it. Said it was the best ice cream in the world and I had to try. He said I had to have the salted caramel. I am not a huge ice cream person but I do enjoy some once in a while. I've tried Brusters and Handel's and I think they're overhyped. Of course I've had Baskin Robbin's, Thrifty's, Dreyers, Haagen-Dazs and so far HD is my favorite - until today. I had the salted caramel ribbon and I was totally blown away. I LOVED the vanilla ice cream and texture. I thought the caramel was incredible. I had never had ice cream as delicious as this. I called my boyfriend right away because he IS a big ice cream person and I had him choose a couple flavor pints I could take to him. He chose rum raisin and hazelnut cookie. I brought home a salted caramel pint for him to try too. Oh my gosh. We're going to try those together later and I will follow up with another review. So excited. They also have the best waffle cone I've ever had.

Some of the flavors are honestly really good and creative, but a few feel a bit over the top or just not something you'd want in ice cream. It's more of an experience place than somewhere I'd go when I just want a simple scoop. It's also on the pricier side, but that's expected for the type of shop it is. Overall, I'd say it's worth trying at least once, especially if you like adventurous desserts...but it might not be everyone's everyday ice cream spot.

I really like ice cream shops that have unique flavors and high quality flavors and this place delivered on both fronts. I sampled a bunch of flavors and the coffee and nuts flavor was pretty good, but ended up getting the strawberry with black pepper and the chocolate brownie on a waffle cone. Both of those flavors were pretty solid, I liked the chocolate brownie a lot more than the strawberry, the strawberry had portions where it tasted straight like strawberry syrup that was a bit too sweet for my liking (even though I have a sweet tooth) The worker was nice even though we had like 4-5 samples before deciding what to buy without any pressure so that was nice. I like that they give napkins and a spoon as well if you ask. The only negatives were the price and I wish the waffle cone was made fresh right on the spot. But otherwise, would come back again!

The limited edition "Milky Tangyuan" flavor was delicious. It had a creamy and sweet base, but my favorite part was the inclusions. The Black Sesame butter was so rich and smooth and then the mochi added the perfect chew. The service was awesome in offering us samples, and being able to quickly handle the huge crowd, many props to them for doing that, and with great attitude at that. The vibe was great, much different than how the store is on a normal day, but seems like a great place to hang out with the indoor-outdoor seating, whether it's late out at night or a sweet treat after lunch on a sunny day. A fan of Wanderlust for their ability to do these collabs and make delicious flavors that satisfy the sweet craving!

Japanese Neapolitan: delicious combo of matcha, hojicha, and black sesame. The tastes were a little muted, but came together quite nicely. Osmanthus Milk Tea: I wish this flavor were creamier and the osmanthus flavor a bit stronger. I did love the boba though. Overall, they have an amazing selection of super unique Asian flavors. None of the flavors were too sweet. In terms of ice cream quality, I think it's only average. It tasted a bit lacking in milkfat, so didn't strike me as particularly creamy.

I am sure, dear reader, that you are aware that some people pronounce the word data like data, and…read morenot like data. this same concept is true when we consider the business name of Handel's. I thought it was pronounced Handel's like a last name should be, but a security guard, who I asked for directions to get to this place, called it Handel's like one calls the things one grips in bikes. Which is the correct way of saying it? I leave that up to you dear reader, as well as what ice cream flavor you want, and whether you want this ice cream in a cone or bowl, or made into a milkshake. However you take your ice cream I will say that you will likely enjoy it more in the resting place that Manhattan beach offers. As my pictures show, I took my ice cream (which was in a waffle cone, witha chocolate rim, decorated with peanuts for some extra light crunch) and I enjoyed it in a bonfire that I did not have to light. In the background, the Nice to Meet you song by Miles Smith gently wafting in the background. The gentle breeze, the notes around, the taste of damn good ice cream, all conspired to help me feel relaxed in place and mood. Thus, if one wants Handel's and also a place to sit that feels right for ice cream, the Manhattan Village one offers all that, at least it did for me. This Handel's is not a walk-in brick location. it is a window. The person who helped us out on this day was Jasmine, and of course her service was princess like. For instance, she showed me the difference between milkshake sizes and the difference between them is significant to the point where a large one can serve two. View the pictures and I invite you to disagree, if one can. Their ice cream selection is lengthy, and creative, and considerate--- they have sugar free and vegan options. So they have a large and ample array of flavors that will satisfy most if not all sweet tooths. I wanted to take the time to celebrate this Handel's for its location because the environment created the ice cream experience. So it was not the cherry on the top, it was the cone, that supported the ice cream.
