The machine at the quick n clean carwash in plattsburgh NY 12901 malfunctioned while in use and severely scratched the hood of my car. The owner chuck lied to insurance companies about what actually happened. I was trapped in the car wash tunnel and pushed on their conveyer belt while in neutral, right into the door at the end of the tunnel. I was stuck in there for a good 5 minutes, until their employee came over and manually opened the door which than scratched my hood. Their machinery failed, it was their negligence. I had a brand new repaint on my hood a year prior from a previous accident but it was a brand new paint job with no damage, and their machine destroyed it. I mentioned to the manager chuck that it was brand new which is also documented in text messages, he lied to the insurance company and used my words against me claiming there was "prior damage" but there wasnt, there was nothing wrong with my hood at all. I would have this business machinery inspected because it must not be up to code to have it malfunction like it did, he also mentioned in text that something similar has happened before, so its clearly not the first time and probably wont be last time that it will happen. Overall he knows what happened was negligence on his part but lied so he didnt have to cover my damages. I think this business should be looked into for its defective machinery as well as integrity. read more

For $13 we got the all that and a bag of chips luxury wash - we had a choice of Lays or Doritos, literally :) It was machine versus our very dirty car, and we came away pretty clean but not perfect. Great costumer service, very polite and knowledgeable staff. Absolute rock bottom prices for a car wash. The building and property super clean and tidy. The speed at which my car was washed was very impressive. I was in and then I was out in no time. Last but not least the washes all come with a free towel dry, sure did make my car shine. My last 3 experiences haven't been very fun at this car wash. Over the Christmas holiday I went there and the soap in the wash wand was out and there didn't seem to be any wax due to no smell. Usually you see the wax bead off your windshield and smell it. Ok fair enough it was Christmas. The second time was just last week and the soap was out again. Tonight I went in and it was about 25 degree. I place the switch on wash and nothing happened so I figured it was frozen because all the hoses were stopped and most successful car washes let their lines trickle during freezing temps so they don't freeze. anyhow, I turned the knob on brush and the wash sprayer started spraying so burned up 30 seconds figuring that out. Next I switched it to the next position which was brush and it was frozen. nothing came out so I had no choice but to put it on rinse and rinse off my truck. Keep in mind I have given this car wash my money for 4 years and go at minimum once a week in the summer and sometimes 3 times a week in the winter. I only use them because I live in Plattsburgh but work in Vermont so I usually go to Winooski Exit 16 because that guy knows how to run a car wash and if youre not happy he gives you a refund. anyhow I proceeded to hang the rinser up with still 2 minutes left and proceeded to go ask the attendant for $2 back and explain to him that if they offered a service and were not able to provide the full service that they should put signs up saying stuff was frozen and a younger guy with an accent told me that they don't do that but would consider it. I said good because its inconsiderate not to mention it because people don't need to waste their time or money on services not rendered and then the kid said I should realize hoses freeze in cold weather and continued on with more patronizing comments. I said I just wanted my money back and the other guy with the beard proceeded to tell me he would give me the owners name and I could call him and speak with him that they didn't give refunds. I said that would be great and we all headed into the office after the kid with the accent rudely told me to take it in the office that I wasn't allowed in the auto car wash area. We went in the office and the Kid with the accent started trying to coach me on business ethics and business law about the signs because he was mad I said it was inconsiderate so I explained that I had a BS in Business Mgt and understand a little about business. This angered him more and he rolled his eyes and is when the other kid handed me the sheet that was supposed to have a phone number on it and I took it but by that time I had really ticked them off by explaining I never have this problem in vt and that guy runs his wash to 20 degrees below zero so the guy with the beard said well go to vt and wash your car.
