I was convinced to NEVER return to Timebuyer again, for any reason. I even had my wife drop off…read morethe payments. The Manager, Chasity Vaughn was insulting, rude, always on her phone texting, and talking in a manner that she was going to reposses "her" vehicle(s). Which was insulting to myself and to every Customer Time Buyer has ever had. I bought a nice enough car ... but she claimed firmly that it had NO warranty. OK I was a ASE Master Tech so no big deal for me to do any work. The wife and I decided we wanted a newer vehicle, and of course I went directly to a Dealer. And another dealer, and so on. Our credit was not a problem, niether was the money. The attitudes you might say turned me away. So, I thought to myself it would be fairly funny to call Timebuyer and tell Chasity Vaughn to find me a certain vehicle, of a certain year range and I would purchase it. Knowing in my head JUST how hard this would be, she would probably tell me off and at least I would get a laugh. Upon making the phone call and asking for Chasity Vaughn, directly and only ... I was informed that she no longer was with Timebuyer. Mind you I am still pretty ticked off at Timebuyer in general, so I decided not to stumble but go forth with my plan. "I paid off a car there and I want a Toyota Camry, fully loaded". It's hard to find a used Camry, let alone fully loaded. John, the new Manager and Connor both invited me down to take a look at what they had on the lot and discuss my "issues" with Timebuyer. I went down, we talked, and it was like a different world. So, the wife and I saw a Hyundai Elantra we were interested in. [Let me say now, IF you go to Timebuyer you are NOT buying a "new vehicle", after reading some 'reviews' I feel a need to say that.] Anyway they are bought at auction, used, and once in awhile the auction can mess up paper work. They could not get me a title to the Elantra because of that. So I call John and ask did the title come in? No Bob it didnt but I think you need to come down here ... and I'm like OK ummm why? I'll be a son of a gun if he didn't have a Toyota Camry, FULLY and I mean FULLY loaded. Body? Superb condition. Interior? Leather, that will take awhile for me to figure out all the extra options. Engine, low mileage and well cared for, transmission is the same, it even has 4 literally new tires on it. John, Conner and the entire staff bent over backwards for us trying to make up for the way we had been treated in the past. All the paper work, Inspection, DMV (new plates) & registration taken care of in one afternoon. I can not thank John, Connor, and the rest of the staff at Timebuyer enough! Even the Mechanic who would not let us take the car until he washed it again. (yes, I said again) I will be back to Timebuyer when we get or feel the need for yet another car. Very friendly, not pushy, and they will work with you.

It wasn't the most cost effective to continue to keep fixing a car this old so I decided it was time for a new one. With the current state of the pandemic and supply chain issues getting a new car or an affordable used car isn't as easy as it has been in the past. I called several dealers and the only option was to order a new car and have it built. I wasn't sure if my present car could make it 2-3+ more months for a custom car to arrive so i was hoping for another option. My aunt suggested I call Kara at Della Subaru in Plattsburgh, I am glad I did! I was able to get in touch with her quickly. Kara was extremely helpful, responsive and understanding of my situation. This dealership was getting quite a few cars in within the next few weeks. She was very patient and thorough in explaining the options of what was coming, helped to answer all my questions and assisted me secure my choice with a down payment. Kara offered all the options, bells and whistles that were available but didn't pressure me into anything I didn't want. It was very easy to work with her over the phone, email and text since I am about 5 hours from her dealership. She kept me up to date on what was happening throughout the process. Picking up the car was a breeze. I was able to test drive it before I finalized the purchase. I was told before I came down that if for some reason I wasn't happy I could get a refund on my deposit and I wasn't tied to this car in any way. This gave me a great piece of mind. I worked with Jenn to do all the financials. She was also patient, knowledgeable and helpful. I highly recommend this dealership, and working with Kara and Jenn. Since I don't live nearby and didn't have time to haggle, I asked the salesman for his best price to include my trade-in that I had brought. He quoted me MSRP and low-balled my trade. Great. Thanks for wasting my time. The salesman was polite, but that's all I can say. I saved $3,250 by going to Barstow Subaru in Potsdam. Sales: 2/5 stars. In September 2014 I stopped by for an alignment. I had scheduled the appointment online and they did well. They have some newer and high quality alignment equipment, and I trust they did the job right. Service: 4/5 stars.
