One way to overcharge customers is by working on two cars simultaneously and charging each customer individually. Another is to round up labor charges at the margins. The dealer charges a 4% credit card fee and $100/hour for labor. But as the above examples illustrate, my concern is not about the de jure hourly rate, just the basis on which they were applied. If you're not price sensitive--and this is the only auto dealer that I believe is currently operating in Jeffersonville--I would not hesitate to recommend this dealer even if you are an easy mark. As for the recently closed other auto repair shop in Jeffersonville, my family used him for many years and never had such an experience.

I work in the service department at a dealership, and have worked with many small repair shops. Perhaps he just comes off strongly, but females know a lot too. He didn't seem too concerned with appreciating our best outlook, but more with proving he's "entitled". He told us he didn't wanna do it because then he'd have to stand by his repair. Well any good mechanic would stand by their work if they're capable. All that showed us was he's not looking for repeat business or considerate of anything but what we might pay him. He was also concerned with the crankshaft being worn out, however there's a kit for that to assist in the prevention of an additional repair. Somebody else will be getting our business who doesn't pretend to be knowledgable and have been more than upfront and willing about the repair.

I went to Willie's on Thursday for an inspection and to have my snow tires switched out. When I…read moremade the appointment over the phone I wasn't told to bring anything so I drove in. The front desk lady told me to bring in my registration and proof of insurance. It was in my glove compartment and while I was digging for it the eponymous Willie pulled up beside me. He asked me what I was having done and I told him. He said to me, "Yup, no one's ever prepared." I said I was sorry and he said, "There's an old saying... Time is money." He said this with a good deal of contempt, a really solid burn as far as he was concerned. I was never told to have my registration and proof of insurance on hand. It WAS with me. Had Willie asked instead of assuming, I would have told him. And, Willie, if you're reading this NOW, word of advice, tell people ahead of time. It'll save you the energy of insulting them and sullying their view of your business. The front desk lady was nice enough and the work was done fine. I was definitely charged on the high end but, honestly, I wouldn't have thought twice about it had my interaction with Willie been better. When I got home I pulled the tires out of the car and Willie hadn't tied off any of the bags. I've NEVER been to a place where they don't tie off the bags. It felt like Willie's final F-U. Let's take this for what it is: I got my car inspected and the tires swapped out. It was on the high end but I wasn't gouged. I'm leaving a one-star review right now for the sole reason that Willie insulted me and genuinely seemed as though he doesn't respect his customers. After my interaction with him I wanted to get in my car and head off to someplace where they DO value their customers.
