Terrific place to take your car. Owner is knowledgeable and conscientious. Understands when price is a concern.

Ray dropped what he was doing and came out immediately. He offered to scan my car to see what the issue was. At first the scanner wouldn't read it and he persisted until he got a code. It turned out to be nothing but he did not charge me even when I offered to pay for his time. Many other places would have charged for this service but he was very nice and helpful!

However, when he did, he was very condescending and wouldn't let me speak much. Even went as far as to pick apart the message I left. I work in the service department at a dealership, and have worked with many small repair shops. Perhaps he just comes off strongly, but females know a lot too. He didn't seem too concerned with appreciating our best outlook, but more with proving he's "entitled". He told us he didn't wanna do it because then he'd have to stand by his repair. Well any good mechanic would stand by their work if they're capable. All that showed us was he's not looking for repeat business or considerate of anything but what we might pay him. He was also concerned with the crankshaft being worn out, however there's a kit for that to assist in the prevention of an additional repair. Somebody else will be getting our business who doesn't pretend to be knowledgable and have been more than upfront and willing about the repair.

He was there for a ski exam, but his car wouldn't start in his hotel parking lot. After waiting for a kind soul to give him a jump start, he unfortunately arrived 15 minutes late and wasn't able to take his exam. The only good thing about the day was the support he received at Willie's. Becky was incredible--she welcomed him in the moment he arrived. In less than an hour, they had replaced his battery, changed his wipers, and finished an oil change. The team was welcoming, professional, and gave him a great price. Thank you, Becky, for being the best of Stowe and showing him such amazing support. I will be traveling to Stowe just to say thank you to Becky in person!

I went to Willie's on Thursday for an inspection and to have my snow tires switched out. When I…read moremade the appointment over the phone I wasn't told to bring anything so I drove in. The front desk lady told me to bring in my registration and proof of insurance. It was in my glove compartment and while I was digging for it the eponymous Willie pulled up beside me. He asked me what I was having done and I told him. He said to me, "Yup, no one's ever prepared." I said I was sorry and he said, "There's an old saying... Time is money." He said this with a good deal of contempt, a really solid burn as far as he was concerned. I was never told to have my registration and proof of insurance on hand. It WAS with me. Had Willie asked instead of assuming, I would have told him. And, Willie, if you're reading this NOW, word of advice, tell people ahead of time. It'll save you the energy of insulting them and sullying their view of your business. The front desk lady was nice enough and the work was done fine. I was definitely charged on the high end but, honestly, I wouldn't have thought twice about it had my interaction with Willie been better. When I got home I pulled the tires out of the car and Willie hadn't tied off any of the bags. I've NEVER been to a place where they don't tie off the bags. It felt like Willie's final F-U. Let's take this for what it is: I got my car inspected and the tires swapped out. It was on the high end but I wasn't gouged. I'm leaving a one-star review right now for the sole reason that Willie insulted me and genuinely seemed as though he doesn't respect his customers. After my interaction with him I wanted to get in my car and head off to someplace where they DO value their customers. Willie, if you're reading this, I promise you I'll never bring my car back to your shop. There's another saying, Willie, "keep the customer happy!" This customer was not kept happy......
