I have to coyly admit,I'm a fan! Not just because of the cavernous wonderland that holds everything you need for your automobile tour of the highway. The bakery section is dangerous in the best way possible, filled with so many delicious goodies and sweet treats that it's hard to choose just one. The hot food section had so many tasty options available that I honestly couldn't decide what to get. Everything looked fresh, hot, and delicious. No matter what you're craving, they probably have it. The store itself was super clean, well organized, and surprisingly efficient considering how busy it gets. The staff kept everything moving smoothly, and the atmosphere was fun and energetic. If you've never been to Buc-ee's, you need to stop at least once. I go to the counter and count out 7 ones, a $5 bill , and a ten. They were not neatly stacked because they were folded in my billfold. The sow at the register took offense because the money was piled instead of stacked. She said it was "rude" . I asked the ugly sow if she had a boss , and when the boss came he took her side as she had been with him for 10 years. I will go to Buccees where the cashiers are friendlier.. Problem solved !

I also like their hand dipped peppermint snaps. They have little pieces of peppermint candy and white chocolate, They're perfect. I did not like the whoopie pie with peppermint, though. Definitely pass on those. Another reason I love this place is because of coffee! They have dark roast, house blend, pecan blend! And decaf, I don't even know why decaf exists, but they have it just in case people actually drink it. They also have cappuccino machines which Mexican hot chocolate, which is my favorite! They have a ton of flavorings as well, like half and half, vanilla, hazelnut, caramel, oh and they come in the sugar free variety too.

However, the gentleman behind the register was pleasant and helpful. A customer came in and while checking out casually mentioned he had a close friend die the day before in a car crash. The cashier was very sympathetic and listened to the guy without interrupting or trying to hurry him along. In all, the store has the basics. But if you're looking for an actual grocery store like what you'd typically find in the downtown area of a large city, this is not it.
