They also state in their response that I (the client) am responsible for making sure the items they suggest are quality before I order but then what's the point of hiring a designer? They are already supposed to do that kind of background work.

It has tall, north-facing windows, so plenty of sunlight during the day with little direct sun. It didn't take her long to come up with a sort of light beige color with a mocha carpet combination. That didn't sound like great colors to me (we were thinking more colorful, etc.), however she promised it would be just right for workshops. She was right. Once I painted and put the carpet in, it had a very calming influence without reducing energy. It's been perfect for our workshops and other meetings. It was weird and gross and thank god I was packing crystals and sage because we couldn't even wait the 15 min to get home to start cleaning ourselves of that putrid energy.
