Challenge Accepted!…read more It has been a tough winter for my SUV. Usually garage kept, work on my garage floor has kept the car in the driveway through the worst of the winter's snow and ice. So yesterday would be a real challenge to penetrate the road grime and salt to reveal the true colors. Early afternoon I pulled in to GO Car Wash and was amazed to still see all three lanes backed up almost to the entry! Realizing the challenge, I opted for the $20 wash. After an acceptable wait I pulled in to the bay. Afterwards I checked the car over and noticed the wheels and quarter pannels were still dirty. Pulling back into line I pointed that out to the attendant who said, "no problem," and ran it through again. Job done, this time it was clean! As the closest thing to a full service car wash in Lee's Summit, they have discontinued handing out the damp towels for wiping the interior and do not clean the inside windows (the nearest place that does is in Waldo), but you still do not have to stand in with a wand in the wet while washing yourself. Even with the post snow demand (come on, three full lanes waiting to get in!) it was still a comfortable short wait to get a clean car. With that much demand they must be doing something right! Yep, I will continue to use "GO" as my go-to car wash in Lee's Summit.
