    Squeaky Clean Car Wash

Squeaky Clean is appropriately named. Over the years, I've been to nearly all the car washes in the…read morearea, and Squeaky Clean consistently delivers the best results! An extra bonus is the crew there is very nice. After long road trips in summer, often with a lot of night driving on the return leg to Missouri to beat the heat, I'm delighted at the extra effort put into the prewash to help eliminate the bug splatter and road grime on my vehicle's windshield and front end. I also appreciate the free vacuum opportunity when I have time and there's space available!

I admit to being lazy, when it comes to car washes. I prefer automatic. Squeaky Clean is automatic,…read moreand convenient. Believe me, my car was dirty. It had gotten dirty over a trip a couple of weeks ago, and it was just too cold to find a car wash open. The line was about 2 car ahead and it went fast. The prices are from $7.00 to $14.00. Sometimes a coupon came out of the coupon machine at Hy-Vee. The employee takes your card or money, and when you pay, they begin to hand wash the windows. Your car's left wheel is on a track. Car in neutral. I thought it could've been kind of rickety to get the car on the conveyor, but did pretty good. I selected the $10.00 car wash. I suppose I got it, there's no indication of what stage the car wash is in. After driving through the drying stage, my car immerged clean, but later, I noticed a couple of white spots. There isn't supposed to be spots, but I had driven it to Best Buy before I had seen it. I guess if you notice that the car isn't clean, you can tell the employees, according to the sign. By the time I was done, the line was humongous. The vacuum is free, and there's tons of spaces, but they were all taken when I was done, which was fine. I think this car wash is highly effective, so effective, I couldn't find my clean sparkling car in Best Buy parking lot.

I visited the Independence location off 39th Street, and midway through the wash, my car suddenly stopped. While I was stuck, the vehicle behind me hit my car 2-3 times. An attendant eventually stopped the wash and confirmed that my car was in neutral and that my parking brake was not engaged. When they restarted the wash, everything worked fine and I was able to finish. At the time, the employee who took my information and initiated the claim was very kind and compassionate, which I appreciated. However, about three days later, I received an email stating my claim had been "resolved" and that they would not be covering the damage. I was surprised and frustrated that no one had contacted me beforehand to get my account of what happened. I replied to the email asking why no one had reached out. Shortly after, I received a call from someone named Jason or Justin, whose customer service was extremely disappointing. Every time I asked a question, he responded with, "Did you not receive the email I sent yesterday?"--completely dismissing my concerns. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was transferred to Breanna, who unfortunately wasn't much more helpful. After reading other reviews, it seems this may be a pattern with how claims are handled by the corporate office. For context, my car is a brand new 2026 that I've only owned for 4 months, which makes this even more frustrating. Overall, while the on-site staff was helpful in the moment, the way this situation was handled afterward--especially the lack of communication and poor customer service--was extremely disappointing. I expected much better after being a loyal customer for years.
