In January 2025, my car was damaged in their wash due to their failure to have someone at the entrance prohibiting someone from entering too close behind me and then restarting the equipment when their sensors stopped the track. I've been a longtime unlimited customer with two vehicles, and their response? Laughter. Shrugs. Excuses. Staff literally said this happens "multiple times a day" and that they usually don't bother figuring out what went wrong--they just restart the equipment to keep the line moving. This isn't just about a car--it's about how a business treats loyal customers when something goes wrong. And Russell Speeder's has failed--completely. They are an embarrassment to North Kansas City.

Essentially they had MANY sodas spilled on them over the last two years, so they had set for an extended period of time. Communication was also super easy, there wasn't any extra upselling, the phone call where i booked the appointment and discussed pricing was no sweat, and they were cordial in person as well. Much...and it's stingy with time…read more I put 3 bucks in the self-serve, and you know what it gave me for my coin? 2 minutes 50-ish seconds...What do you expect me to do with under 3 minutes? Seriously, am I suppose to run around my car, dragging your extra-long hose all over my paintjob? I got 70 percent through my suds before it shut me off, so now what are my options? Put 3 bucks more in to rinse; that's a bummer. Leave the soap to bake in to the paint? For $6 I'd rather just hop the short distance to drive through prices and bite that bullet. So I went to the counter and let them know, and they gave me 3 tokens - which happen to start the system up for an additional shy 3 minute marathon. I'd bet if you gave people 5 minutes for 3 dollars, you'd still see the same material overhead quantities but increase your traffic by 30 percent YOY. You cannot adequately clean a filthy car, focusing on the adhered pollen and dust and window spots in 3 minutes - and rinse. It's impossible. I'm strong, and I had the wand in one hand, keeping the hose off my car with the other, damned-near running around the vehicle, and even with 6 minutes I did a poor job. I would not ever use this place again. They also make it difficult to see how much time you have; typically there's a counter above the bay door, but you have to stare hard at the selector screen - which happens to waste crucial seconds you can't afford. "Well, put more than $3 in the slot then..." You need at least 5 minutes with an SUV. Period. Might as well drive through. Don't even get me started on the vacuums.

The ONLY REASON I did NOT give this a "SINGLE STAR" is bc of the wonderful lady that greeted me at the front. She was "older" and looked a bit rough around the edges, but my goodness she was sweet, knowledgeable and respectful. Wait, wait forrrrr it, wait forrrrrr it... BUUUUUUUUTT! True colors then followed, the rest of the staff was rude, disrespectful and down right a bunch of terrible professionals. They talk down to ya, there is zero direction unless they scream and expect you to act like you created the dang infrastructure and built that place. THENNNNNN, the car wash, or shall I say $15.50 worth of some wet hula dancers swishing and swishing back and forth across my hood and later my entire car. Reason I say this is there was zero type of soap, a sprinkling of hot wax foam and that was the "WORKS WASH". I will say, the guys at the end were decent but still assumed you were there before. I had one guy telling me to move fwd. the other guy behind me, still drying my car, saying STOP, STOP/Alto, Alto!!! I will never, EVER RETURM THERE AGAIN. Thank you nice lady at the front!
