Not even a half filled empanada!
    Nicole B.

I have not been to Quick Check in close to a year. Unfortunately, I was very dissatisfied with my purchase. When I went in, I was going to get a breakfast sandwich but changed my mind once I saw that they now had empanadas. I decided to get a chicken and beef empanada with cheese. I bit into one and I just had a mouth full of the bread. I looked inside and the filling was at the very bottom of the the empanada. It seemed as though it was filled with one tablespoon of the filling for the entire empanada. It definitely was not worth the amount I paid for them.

    Dirty

Clark store, Westfield Avenue. 12:30 this afternoon (Friday 3/17). Don have to wRory about giving free coffee Friday as they don't have much coffee available. Store always dirty, half of the coffee pots are empty and on the first of the month and most of the month they do not have "family rewards."

This location is convenient at least. Standard quick chek stuff. The sandwiches taste good but there's not much to them. You get what you pay for and a $3 sub is mostly bread anyway. It would be nice if they'd cut the sandwiches in halves but that's the norm at every quick chek.

I give 5 Stars to Ouick Check because of there. Outstanding service that they give to the customers . Shelves are always stocked well the store appearance always kept tidy. It makes you feel good when you enter the store. You don't mind ordering a sandwich or a cup of soup.

Due to inflation, I now consider this FINE DINING. The chicken sandwich is fan-effin-tastic . 5 STARS.

The Godfather was spot on and then had the #13 chicken cutlet with fresh mozz which they make themselves and then bruschetta and arugula! Spot on with the vinegar and great bread too. The service was also very friendly! Family run

Because I found this little gem, not even 5 minutes away from me. And they have a PARKING LOT. And they nailed it. I got a Turkey, salami & provolone with lettuce (they use romaine) and tomato - it was awesome and very filling. My friend got a hot chicken cutlet sub with fresh mozz and it was YUM. I was a little jealous, although you can't really compare a Turkey sandwich to that. We also split some sausage, peppers & onions which we both agreed was fire. They have a nice variety of chips and drinks, prepared deli foods, and they're stocked with some imported Italian products like pastas, cookies, sodas etc. And to top it all off, the employees were very attentive, kind & fast! Turns out they opened up in November of 2020 but I would have never known. They'll keep getting my business, and I hope they get a little more recognition because they definitely deserve it. Plus I like having a good deli around the corner from me so please check this place out and support them so they stay lol

Absolutely lives up to the hype!…read more The pastrami is insanely tender like melt in your mouth kind of good. The sandwich is definitely messy, but that's how you know it's done right when its packed and stacked with meat! Even with a line out the door, the guys behind the counter cutting the meat are friendly and keep things moving. They even hand out samples while you wait, which makes the whole experience feel welcoming (and honestly makes the wait easier).

Update: I've finally tried the pastrami. The sandwiches are huge. We got the pastrami cheese…read morefries, and a corned beef reuben. The pastrami is really good and is very tender. The fries are steak fries, which I don't typically love but it worked well as a vehicle for the pastrami. The corned beef is a bit dry. We had some pierogies but these were superrrr oily. We also ordered a matzoh ball soup because I've never had it before. But the second I saw them microwave it in a plastic container, I knew I had made a mistake. It was basically just a matzoh ball in very salty chicken bouillon water. I'm sad that was my first matzoh ball soup experience but am not deterred from finding a real one elsewhere. Based on my previous visit and this one, it seems like you should just stick to a classic pastrami sandwich. It's big enough to share between two people. Next time, I'd like to dine in and eat it fresh. The sandwiches also come with a bunch of pickles, which was nice. Tip #1 - there is a parking lot but because there are so many stores and it's next to Bratek Deli, it's a nightmare. It did also happen to be Good Friday, so maybe that made it worse? I don't remember it being that bad the first time around. Tip #2 - I called ahead to place my order but still had to wait 15 minutes extra after the quoted time. They prioritize walk-in customers, so you might as well just order in store.
