I'm honestly still at a loss for words three days later. After reading 300+ glowing reviews across…read moremultiple platforms, I never expected to have such a disappointing experience. To be fair, I made a mistake and thought my appointment was at 9:30 when it was actually at 9:00. When Cheron called me at 9:10 I immediately apologized and even offered twice to reschedule if that was easier. Instead she just asked for my ETA in an irritated tone and said she'd see me soon. From the minute I got there the whole appointment felt tense. I asked for a simple trim, some face framing pieces, and something low maintenance since I don't spend a lot of time styling my hair. It didn't feel like a difficult request but I felt like my preferences were an inconvenience. Even the shampoo was so rough it was uncomfortable instead of relaxing. The haircut itself turned out nice but what really shocked me was the finish. I paid $150 and expected at least a basic styling. Instead, my hair was blow dried with her fingers... no round brush, no comb, no straightener, no curls. Nothing. I genuinely couldn't believe that was the finished result. I'm happy I ended up with a decent haircut but the overall experience felt uncomfortable from start to finish and nowhere near the level of service I expected.

I've been to this Drybar location several times in the past, but unfortunately the quality has gone…read moredown considerably. My last two visits were very disappointing. I specifically asked for tight curls and was given loose curls instead. The stylist didn't even show me the finished style or ask if I was satisfied before moving on, which felt dismissive and unprofessional. I was also told I would be charged extra for detangling -- which I understand -- but if I'm paying more, I expect the service to be completed properly and with attention to detail. Overall, the customer service and styling quality were lacking. I've had much better experiences at other Drybar locations, so I'll be going elsewhere moving forward. This location really needs more skilled stylists and stronger customer service standards.

Hot water continued flowing directly onto my face, burning my scalp. The stylist, Dani, then…read moreattempted to pressure me into booking her privately outside of Drybar, which I declined. Once seated in her chair, I clearly explained that I am sensitive to excessive pulling. Despite this, she began detangling my hair aggressively without using any detangler, then proceeded to blow-dry my hair roughly. She moved on to flat-ironing my hair using excessive heat and burned the back of my neck in the process. When I asked her not to do that again, she dismissed my concern, told me I was over-exaggerating, and slammed the flat iron onto the counter. It fell to the floor, narrowly missing my legs. At that point, I stood up immediately. Three incidents were more than enough to show a complete disregard for my safety and the care of my hair. It felt clear that she was eager to move on to the next client--a customer of a different cultural background--whom she spoke to and treated with noticeably more respect than she did me. I then spoke with the store manager to cancel my subscription and was told it could not be canceled for three months (for which was not communicated prior before saying yes). On July 28, 2025, I sent a formal email--including the store manager and corporate contacts--requesting cancellation and a detail breakdown of what took place. To date, no one has followed up, and my subscription has not been canceled. I have continued to be charged $45 every month through February 2026. I will be taking this matter further. I am beyond dissatisfied and deeply disappointed by the lack of care, professionalism, and basic customer service--particularly toward customers of color, myself included. I do not recommend Drybar and especially this location.

I was a Barfly member, and despite their stated policy granting 3 months to redeem unused blowdries, they arbitrarily wiped my final paid blowdry credit from my account days before the 3-month mark. When I brought this to their attention, instead of fixing a clear administrative error, they put me through days of endless runaround. I was instructed to reach out directly to the salon manager, Rita. I called and texted Rita multiple times at her instruction, only to receive the exact same lazy excuse every single time: "I'm not at a computer right now, let me call you back in a few minutes." She never called back. Not once. Promising quick follow-ups and then completely ghosting a paying customer is exceptionally unprofessional. Quietly stripping paid credits early and having management actively dodge accountability is borderline dishonest. Save your money and go to a salon that respects its clients and honors its own contractual policies.

I had no idea that I was looking for this salon until I found it. If I could give ten stars, then…read moreI would! I googled for a natural hair salon near my address in Peachtree Corners and found The Silk Bar. It had a good review and a beautiful website, so I was sold. Before, I went to two Dominican salons in my neighborhood for a consultation and just was not satisfied with the answers and service that I received. I understand COVID social distancing and even a minor language barrier, but I did not feel that welcomed at either salon. So I traveled right on to Roswell Rd. and I am so happy that I did! I was given a walk-in consultation and was warmly greeted by the owner, Patrice. Patrice is literally a ray of sunshine! She made me feel welcomed, comfortable, and gave me the individual service that I needed because I had questions and was in the market for a permanent salon. Not to mention, the salon was new, clean, beautifully decorated, and there was nice music to set the ambiance. The second stylist, Nia, who is young and talented, was slaying another client's hair; but Patrice brought me right in, sat me down, ask me about my hair goals and where I was currently in my hair journey. She explained to me how the Silk Bar has specials for folks like me, who want to be repeat clients. I was so excited to come back the next day. I arrived and learned that Patrice had written a personalized analysis for me and my hair goals! She provided products that were tailored just for my hair and scalp. These are vegan, sulfate free, and paraben-free products, which catered to my health-conscious side. Nia made me feel very comfortable and assured me that "it was my time to be pampered." She gave me the New Client Silk: detangling, a tingly shampoo with a little scalp massage, (where I fell asleep at the bowl,) blow dry, shaping cut, press, style. Patrice came and chatted with me and she feels like a long lost friend. Midway through, I just kept repeating how happy I was to have found them. I really felt like my hair needs were catered to. After our impromptu photo shoot, it started raining pretty heavy, so Nia pin curled my hair and wrapped it up. I purchased a hair product and received some free samples too. I left beautiful and relaxed too! I would advise all of you to come visit Silk Bar and get pampered. I hear that it is expanding to a city near you!
