The car itself shook Everytime I hit the breaks coming down the hill. I rented the car until Tuesday and returned it Sunday because no one is in the office I didn't leave the keys. So I left them the keys on Monday. They didn't explain I could have dropped them off in the lock box. They still got the keys by Monday and I had the car rented until Tuesday. But I'm not getting refunded for that day. read more

This is the best Auto rental place in Rancho Cucamonga. The owner is very courteous and friendly. He also has a mechanic shop on the premises and he is and excellent mechanic, with a very dedicated personnel, I really like the fact that he tells you things like it is, after he diagnosis the problem with your car. He is very knowlegable and very organized. He is also reasonable when it comes to the cost of repairs. The only reason I came here was because I needed a rental last minute due to my vehicle having to stay over night at the mechanics. They were able to pick me up and give me a ride to their office within 20 mins which was the ONLY good thing about this place. They rent older model vehicles that are in bad condition. The Kia I requested was a few years old, had dents, you can tell it's been in an accident and the worst part is the vehicle smelled horribly of cigarette and body odor. I should have not accepted it but I was in a rush and thought the smell would go away. I was wrong. Their office stinks of cigarettes as well so I'm sure the employees themselves smoked in it since they have a zero smoking policy. When I brought it up to the worker he denied it and said that the car had just been picked up from the dealer? Doesn't make since, it was not fresh off the lot. They did not do a walk through and confirm the gas with me prior to leaving with the vehicle. Maybe they avoid this step so you don't regret renting from there after taking a good look at the vehicle. Don't waste your time, I paid more here for an old, smelly, beat up car here than I would have somewhere else for a brand new car. If you're desperate and other places aren't renting to you, then come here. read more

UPDATE: I'm taking back a few stars because of what happened AFTER our rental experience. We returned the car a day early because my husband's car was done sooner than we expected. The store was closed. I called and the man who answered the phone said they were closed for Covid testing of his employees. He said I could lock the keys in the car and leave it in their lot, there are cameras. I asked if I would get credit for bringing it in early, he said they would look at my contract the following day. Well, when we received our final statement I was CHARGED for dropping it off early. AND they said it was a little dirty. My husband only drove the car to work and back and I dropped it off. There was NOTHING in the car, but shame on me I guess, I didn't take photos to be able to argue that point. I also should have clarified when we rented the car about their policy about early returns because it's not on the contract that there is an early drop off charge. Because I didn't drive the car except to drop it off I didn't know that though I was asked to fill the tank before drop off, the contract said it was only 3/4 when we picked it up. I've never rented a vehicle where they want more gas than what they gave me. They didn't rent us a car that we would want to keep if we didn't need it, it was weary and ran rough though it served its purpose. We won't go back though, it's hard to swallow shady business practices. read more

UPDATE: I attached a copy of my statement of the credit card I used to rent the vehicle along with a picture of the first vehicle that they rented us out that kept turning off on us. Do not give your business to this company they not only deny the fact that they serviced me but they also insulted me in many ways in their unprofessional reply to my YELP review. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE.!!!! I am absolutely dissatisfied with this service. We received an Escape for our rental and the car looked like a dungeon inside. We figured it's ok it's only a rental. We take off in the rental, and literally are on route to San Bernardino and the car turns off. We turn it back on and take off and turns off again at the next stop. This happened about 5 times and right away we called the rental place and told the man what happened and he asked us to drive back to his office. So we had to drive ALL the way back when we had a whole day filled with errands. He ends up giving us another car only this time it was a sedan and he clarified that he wasn't going to charge us more because usually he would for this one sedan. So we were like ok awesome. We made it clear to him that we needed a vehicle that would make it up to Sequoia and this man swore this vehicle would make it to our destination. The car was absolutely horrible. The brakes did not function properly, the rotors felt warped, the AC doesn't work, and none of the buttons worked on the dashboard. It BARELY made it to our destination. We get back to return the car and he takes $50 off our $200 deposit because of the backseat having some dirt on it. So all in all for 6 full days of rental we were charged $530. I am appalled at the service. I will not be recommending this service to anyone. We almost had to cancel our vacation because of this stupid rental. One thing for sure I'd like to advise any potential clients is that all his cars looked like they've been crashed before. They all have dents and scratches. Plus when we walked in the office they had a crashed Toyota in the garage. Don't use this service. read more

If you're desperate this is the place for you. My friend's car broke down on our way to the mountains. We were too far from home, packed and a rented a cabin. We tried the other chain rental car places, but all were either booked or closed. The owner to this shop is very nice, that would be the only reason I'd return, besides if we are ever in a hopeless situation again...this place rents old used cars, but like I said, we were in a great need of a car. Amazing, angels, life savers! What else can I say. I had rented a car and paid for it through Travelocity, then I canceled all our credit cards, paid them off, and living life debt free. Avis wouldn't let me have the car that was paid for since I didn't have a credit or debit card. Someone at the airport slipped me the card of Sunrise. These folks know customer service! Rented to me for cash. Truly good people who want to help. They even came in when they were closed to bring me back to the airport. Adios Avis, I'm going with the little guy that has a heart! I have to rate them a 5 star I felt blessed with hamid I got stuck at the airport at 1100pm and budget gave me his number I explained my situation to him and he accepted that I needed help he came from HOME to pick me up and took me to his shop to rent me out a car best part was they took all cash as well. I recommend Sunrise Car Rental very highly. Hamid is who took care of me and he was awesome. I had an issue with my bank cancelling my card on the spot and had no idea what I was going to do. He took a small cash deposit for a car and trusted me to call the next day with my card information. I was able to get home that night and to work the next day thanks to him. The car was nice and it ran great! I have rented cars in the past from hertz and enterprise and I have to say the customer service and the cars are so much better here.
