I came to this place to get my jumpsuit cut because it was too long. I was charged $35 and got it back the same day. When I got home I noticed my jumpsuit was still too long and it didn't look as if it was even cut. The place was closed and the woman there was going out of town for a week. After the week had passed, I went back today and told her that the jumpsuit was still too long. She told me that I would have to pay an additional $30 and I wouldn't receive it back until the following week. Why would I pay an additional $30 when the services wasn't done correctly? I am at a different alterations place and they told me it doesn't even look like it was cut. So basically I just wasted $35 and she didn't even cut my jumpsuit in the first place. I am very disappointed and I wouldn't suggest going to this place. read more

She does decent work but she is VERY UNFRIENDLY!!!!!!! I know we all go through things but the entire time of my service, from calling in, to getting measured, to picking up my item, she was rude and unkind. The price for alteration was way more than I expected it to be for such minor adjustments also. Save yourself and just go to another alteration shop they will definitely be better. read more

First of all, I just needed a summer t-shirt hemmed a couple of inches and they charged me $20, which is kind of ridiculous. Then, their idea of "quick" was a week. When I picked it up, the bottom of the shirt was slightly puckered, so it doesn't look like they ironed it after hemming (or didn't iron it well). I took the shirt home and ironed it and it still puckers somewhat. I won't be using them again for alterations, even though they're very close by. read more

This shop is a hidden gem! The lady who runs the place, Seam, is really friendly and will give you an honest opinion. Sometimes I get a little...ahem... creative about what I want to alter on my clothes, and she gave me her honest, expert opinion and suggested alternatives in some cases. My clothes turned out perfectly, everything was done earlier than promised, and the price was unbelievably reasonable. I've paid almost double in midtown for the same quality of work. I make the trek across town (literally, I live in Dekalb county) just to see Seam because I can trust her work. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. First off the owner charges a ridiculous amount for alterations. The name of the company is quick alterations and boy is it anything but quick. I was given a 2 week turn for 2 pair of pants - at QUICK alterations. I came to pick up my pants 2 weeks from the date at 12 pm and was told to come back after 4. Ridiculous. The sign on the door says they are open M-F until 7 pm and it also says the same online. I went at 5:55 pm and she had already left. Just unreal poor service. On Saturday I care back and she lied to my face. Never come here and do not support this business. They are deceitful and not good. read more

Quick Alterations was true to their name. Quick! Found them via Yelp to alter my daughter's chosen dress for her Sweet Sixteen Party. I believe we paid an additional fee for an express timeframe. Went there today and had a great experience. I needed last minute same day alterations for a bridesmaid dress. I had picked up the dress from the bride the night before and as luck would have it, it was slightly too big in the straps which was making it too big in the bust area. Even though I got to Quick Alterations at 1:30p.m., I was seen quickly and told that I could pick the dress up at 4. I left to get my nails done and went back at 4:20p.m. The dress was done and fits like a dream now. The price was more than reasonable and the customer service was great. Brought in a suit jacket and a pair of pants to be taken in that I needed for a job interview next week. As their name says they do "Quick Alterations", both articles where done in just a few days. The lady who helped me (I believe she's the owner) was very nice and professional. The only downside is that measurements cost extra as the fit is adjusted with pins. I would definitely take more items here. Total cost for the pants and suit jacked was around $90 ($70 for the jacket + $20 for the pants). read more

What a DIAMOND in the ROUGH! Sooooo close to my home and totally missed it!!! When I found it all my worries about the last place I took my alterations vanished! The owner, Seam is sooooo knowledgeable and friendly. She fixed all of my issues and I have not needed to return any pieces for fixes like the last place!!! As a Flight Attendant my uniforms are my image and they need to look like new 24/7/365 - I have had zipppers replaced and cuffs re-hemmed and always look like a million. My uniforms are expensive and Seam has saved me $76 just on the zippers alone, which was only $10!!! Very affordable and very quick!!! read more

Horrible customer service! The lady working was rude and clearly racist. I walked in and just need a few inches of length taken off of a top (just two inches shorter) and without even looking at it, she told me they don't do that. Then she turned around and ignored me. I tried to explain that I don't need it fitted, I just need it a little shorter and she cut me off and was extremely rude. The fact that she wouldn't even look at the shirt, shows me that she wasn't interested in my business because of the color of my skin. This is shameful and I really hope no one goes here after they read this review. read more

Being 5'2", I need a lot of things hemmed, and I've been going to this lady (I'm embarrassed that I've never learned her name) since moving to Smyrna in 2003. She is more reasonably priced than another tailor at the same intersection, and her work has always been good. We brought my daughter's prom dress to her for hemming - a huge tulle skirt with a custom hemline. We were worried about preserving the hemline effect, but she did a beautiful job on it. She always asks for a pickup date a few days away, probably to leave more wiggle room in the schedule for last-minute requests, but all you have to do is say when you need it (even the same day) and she's happy to accommodate. read more

Went in to get some clothing altered and the customer service was bad from the start. I wish I would have went with my gut and left, instead I decided to go against it. Smh, ETA was Wednesday but do you think I got a call? No. I wasn't in a rush but it would have been a "nice to have". When I do go to get my clothes she says she has to charge more for some reason an that she tried to call me several times. I asked if she left a message and she said "no but normally people call back a missed number". I say "normally a business would leave a message if it was important and I don't think that was professional". After that she tried to give more excuses and said its only a couple dollars. If it's only "a couple dollars" why charge me? I didn't want a fight. I paid and left...never to return. read more

I brought in a new dress to be altered. When I picked it up I realized the hem was cut crooked (the outer layer of the dress has to be cut not hemmed) and there was a white stain (bleach mark?) on it left from her chalk. The line was really crooked and jagged. I could have cut it better myself. When I pointed both the hem and the stain out to her, I received no apologies. She simply said I wouldn't notice it. For the stain, she proceeded to use her fingernail to scratch it. I made her stop as it would wear the material. She did not offer any discounts or apologies. I didn't ask for a discount, I just paid and left. Please do not bring your nice clothes here. It's not worth it to have someone ruin something. read more

I have had a handful of formal dresses altered and several dresses hemmed. I have been very happy with the work. The owner even did a repair she noticed on a dress that I did not. She is very flexible with pick up. I gave 4 not 5 because the hem on a maxi dress is up to $20 now. read more

I first contacted several alteration businesses using Yelp! I must say that alteration prices inside the perimeter of Interstate 285 are ridiculous as I was quoted $40.00 to take in the waist and hem pant legs for "1" pair of pants. This is a quick 15 minute job! I would love to make $160.00 dollars an hour! I only paid $34.95 for the pants and wouldn't want to spend more for the alterations! I took two pairs of wool dress slacks to Quick Alterations to have the waist taken in, $15.00 and the leg hem shortened, $11.00. Both pair of pants were altered for $52.00 total! I was greeted by Leang who was very friendly and conversational. I tried on the pants and she marked them after asking me what felt like a good fit! It was a Monday afternoon and she told me they would be ready Thursday, 2 days later! They were altered and ready when promised! The length and waist was a perfect fit on both pairs.
