Okay listen, her way of doing business is unconventional. She's open 4-7 T-Saturday. She is appointment only. She will ask you to call her a couple days before pick up. Yesyesyes we all have an idea about how a business "should" be run. If you can just let go of that idea and go with it. You will be very pleased. I took 3 dresses there. Two were a basic hem (I just got them back it's she did a beautiful job) I paid her for two dresses what I would have paid David's Bridal for 1 dress. The third dress was a huge sequin dress. It swallowed me. I wanted her to take a look and see if there was anything we could do. She spent a good amount of time looking at it, looking at me in it and ultimately decided it would be a waste of my money because she would have to charge me a lot. I just thought that was so...cool. How often do we encounter someone willing to be so honest with us when it could mean money in their pocket. Anyway I will definitely be going back. She's so kind, reliable, budget friendly and quite good at what she does. read more

I went in to get my jeans altered and to reinforce the clasp on one of my shirts. She was super nice and figured out exactly what I needed. I picked them up after about 3 weeks. I'm sure you can ask to get something done faster for a charge, but I didn't need my clothes, so I wasn't in any hurry. When I picked them up it was exactly what I needed, and I was very happy with the results! She completely destroyed my bridesmaid dress. Details follow: -Left a gaping hole on the inside that my best friend's mother had to fix before the wedding (shown in photo) I didn't want to bring it back here to have it altered and risk not having a dress at the wedding -Bunched up the top and sides of the dress fabric and and bent the boning so it looks like my boobs are sagging/pointing in different directions (my best friends mother also had to fix this right before the wedding so I didn't look completely ridiculous in photos) -Sewed uneven lines and used the wrong color thread...black on a purple dress-do you not have purple thread?! -The dress smelled bad when I brought it home so I had to risk putting it in the dryer to get the smell out-took hours -Her shop is really small and there's clothes everywhere, barely fit into the "dressing room" -She suggests you call a few days in advance of your pickup date to remind her to alter your garment-what?! This dress is backless and luckily didn't need to have the bottom portion altered..can't even imagine what would have happened. She only takes cash so I didn't even bother trying to get my money back. She's a really nice lady and I'm sure she does fine on easier garments (judging from the previous ratings). Just don't bring her anything complicated or expensive! What a waste of a $250 dress and a horrible mess to deal with right before a wedding!!! read more

I found her shop through an internet search and was very nervous about going to someone I didn't know. I can say that I don't regret the decision to go to her. She managed to save a suit that I recently purchased that I thought was too small. I ordered similar suits with the same size and they fit perfectly, this one didn't. She managed to actually take in the suit not take it out and it now fits like it was custom made. Since then, I have taken several suits to her to have adjusted and they all fit like they were made for me. She does an excellent job with her modifications.
