I found the girls (phlebotomist) to be rude to the patients. I was there as a walk in and waited for bit. Not a problem having to wait. But there is no one at the front desk to help the patients that have questions or need help. And when one of the girls does step out, let me tell you how surprised I was to see how unprofessional and not polite they are. I think they have forgotten it's because of the patients they have a job. A male patient an older man and I were trying to help the people at the kiosk. This was my first time at this location. I scheduled an appointment online and arrived sooner than expected. Checking in was incredibly easy and the waiting room was clean and quiet. Everyone was attended to in a timely manner while we waited and expressed gratitude to the staff. We had an issue with one of the phlebotomists (Natalie) who made it clear that she was in a hurry to go to lunch. She told us that she couldn't draw my boyfriend's blood due to missing an ICD code for his INR order. We had an appointment for 11:30am... we finally got called back at 1155... we were bothered already having to wait well beyond our appointment time. We'll Natalie came with some excuse that due to the missing code, she could not draw his blood. I did go over the requisition and did see the codes for all the labs needed to be drawn. Unfortunately I was not present when Natalie told my boyfriend she was leaving for lunch. My boyfriend and I were about to leave when he told me his blood was not drawn... I was livid. Being in the Healthcare field myself, I know that the ICD-9 code does not need to be known to draw the blood. We went back in and spoke to another phlebotomist, Adriana... Now she was efficient and followed through with the labs... the issue had NOTHING to do with the ICD codes!!!!!! Adriana quickly changed what was an EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING SITUATION... to a "Relieved experience." We want to acknowledge how ADRIANA went above and beyond her duty. She was professional, even when I was rude (Knowing that Natalie was bullshitting my boyfriend), as I explained the situation to her. The problem had nothing to do with the codes. It was a glitch caused by the lack of all the information regarding his insurance, which BTW, he offered his insurance cards to Lazy, lying Natalie.... so avoid Natalie and request Adriana, if you want to get out in a timely manner. read more

If your late then you can make another appointment or you can wait until everyone goes to lunch and other appointments served, they were saying 5 hours. I called customer service and they said someone would call me back but no. This is a horrible situation with zero wiggle room. We walked in to get blood work done with no appointment. We waited two hours. Some of the patient that had appointments walked in but their appointment wasn't for 20 more minutes and instead of taking us a walk-in, they took the person with the 20 more minute for there appointment still to go. I made two back to back visits recently and I'm happy to report, I'm happy with the experience. Both visits I walked in with an appointment and was taken back only later than 1-2 minutes. The site wasn't busy and they were able to take me back to collect the samples they needed 15 minutes before my scheduled appointment. Staff was friendly and made you feel comfortable. I was especially happy with the first gal who took care of my blood work. I've only ever done blood work once before with another business, and while it wasn't so bad, I was very overwhelmed. I'm not a fan of needles and the sight of blood makes me a little nauseous. When I told her about how my first experience went and how anxious I can be with these things, she quickly made began carrying a conversation to keep me distracted and comfortable during my visit. This made me very happy. Oh, did I mention she got the vein on the first try and no bruising?! Only con I had here was that they didn't accept CareCredit. DEALING WITH NEW TIMES (COVID): As soon you arrive, walk-in, and check-in (using their tablet) they provide pair of gloves you can use when checking in and touching their tablet, the box is next to the tablet for your use. You can sign in with your appointment details or simply your phone number. It is suggested to use your cell-phone number (not home) as they'll either call you or text you when it's your turn. After signing into the tablet, you are free to wait in the lobby or outside, in your car or whichever you prefer. They're quite sanitary, friendly, and quick! Painless too :) MY EXPERIENCE: In my case, they texted me, 1 minute prior to my appointment which was awesome! I go in, and they let me know that my doctor never sent them the paperwork, my appointment was at 10 AM, they were kind enough to wait for me to call my doctor, while I inquired what went wrong. My doctor was able to fax the order over to their office, and I was in and out in less than 30 minutes! That's amazingly fast, considering my appointment was at 10 AM and there was slight delays on my end with the paperwork. I was out by 10:30 AM. If you're considering Quest Diagnostics for your blood work, this location is awesome! And if you're after a similar experience, be sure to book an appointment over the phone. Had a great experience with the professionals here at this Quest location. I've never used this service before so I didn't know what to expect; Kaiser, my former healthcare provider, takes care of all the labs in-house. The whole appointment was simple: scheduled online and filled out the equivalent of a "fast pass" which included insurance info and demographic data. Came in a little early, sat and read, then was called in by a pleasant tech who engaged me in conversation while they took my blood. The tech was experienced and quick & I had no major pain or discomfort during the process. One thing to note is, that if you walk in without an appointment, your wait time gets extended as those who do have appointments check in. My dad went to the office in Wed 11/17/21 to get work done at his appt at 10:20am to get blood test done. He came home sharing to me his concerns that the gentleman that took his blood and fail to swab his arm before sticking in the needle. My father gets blood work done many times and understands the standard protocols and complained to me that this place is not sanitary. I've attempted to call to file a complaint but there is no way around to get through the line to get a person on the phone. I cannot imagine how many others this has happened to and the risk that this person has placed on my father and potentially others. read more

Waited 3 hours for a simple drop off and when they finally got to us they asked for an order form we never received in the first place. They said they would check in their system for his file and told us they had no one under that name in their system even though he was there just a few days before. Made an appointment online and was called to take the blood test in about 10 mins or less. The lab is very clean wIth a self check in kiosk, which was convenient. Julieta was very helpful. I was a bit nervous but she made it painless and drew three viles of blood. I would come here again. I recommend bringing your insurance id or present it using the insurance provider app as I did. For some reason the insurance information I provided online didn't process into the system and it needed to be entered manually, which is the reason for the 4 stars. read more

I have been to multiple quest locations and this one in upland is by far the best one! The women who work here (front desk, blood drawers) were so sweet and friendly!! The young girl at the desk seemed very helpful to the elderly folk that needed help with checking in and made myself feel like family. The best customer service I've seen in so long! I had an appointment for a two hour pregnancy glucose test at 9am and I was able to walk in at 8 and they saw me by 8:15am on a Friday morning. The Quest employees I had the misfortune of talking with were bratty, snide millennials who seemed angry that they had to work. I would not trust my health information with these employees. For how much I HATE having my blood drawn, this was a great experience! The receptionist was super welcoming and friendly, immediately after I checked in I was taken back to the treatment room. The people are actually friendly and treated me like i was a human being with feelings! The ladies here have my heart! I've been here for blood work multiple times throughout my pregnancy. And have never had a bad experience. I suggest getting there right at opening if you don't have an appointment. The times I've done that they've seen me within 20 minutes after my arrival. The most recent time here was for my glucose test which takes about two hours (even with an appointment) because of the procedure itself. In that time spam alone having to see the people these ladies have to deal with probably on the daily made me feel for them. NO STARS is what Quest Diagnostics Grove Location deserves and they can thank JUDY. (This facility is now moved to Foothill in the Walmart Neighborhood Grocery shopping center.) Anyway JUDY was rude to my 72 year old mother. We went there to have basic lab work done, aparently they were in the process of moving to the new facility BUT they were open in the morning. When we got there we were told they were closing for lunch for an hour. So we went and did some running around and returned back an hour later. When we entered the front office we were told they were closed for the day. My mom said we were just here and was told to come back in an hour. JUDY said we are closed and told another lady in a white coat to get up and close the door. As that happened another lady came up to get lab work, she was around mother's age and she had an appointment. They would not open the door for her. I knocked on the door harder for the other lady and finally they opened it and JUDY SAID WE ARE CLOSED! Yes she had a raised voice. The other lady explained she had an appointment and had paperwork. JUDY raised her voice again and told the other worker to close the door we're closed. It was extremely rude how she spoke to both my mother and the other lady. Closed or not closed clearly there was a miss in communication in instructions for these to ladies to get lab work done. No matter what, show some respect to your elders JUDY. My mother was really upset. We are thankful that there are other locations for Quest Diagnostics. We will not be going to the one that employs JUDY.
