I have had some blood draws done here in the past for personal and work reasons. This last time I went, the process was pretty quick as I did set up an appointment ahead of time. The lady who drew my blood was very nice and professional. I didn't even feel it! The office was clean. Good location. It is next to a store where I was able to go get some waters to keep hydrated for my draw and to get a drink and snack for my friend who was waiting. I definitely recommend this facility for this type of medical needs! read more

I've been to Quest Diagnostics multiple times, and I want to start by saying that this facility is consistently clean, and most of the phlebotomists I've encountered have been kind, professional, and efficient. That's why this review is so disappointing to write. On April 15th, I had a very negative experience with a phlebotomist named Michelle. From the moment I sat down, she was cold and dismissive--no greeting, no basic courtesy. Her tone throughout the appointment felt rude and unnecessarily aggressive. Instead of communicating calmly, she gave abrupt commands like "scoot up... no, more," without any professionalism or kindness. The actual blood draw was worse. On the first attempt, she missed my vein and tried to redirect the needle twice. During the second redirection, I felt a sharp pain and said "ouch," to which she responded by rolling her eyes before removing the needle. I ended up apologizing--despite being the one in pain--because of how uncomfortable the interaction felt. She never apologized. She then attempted the draw on my other arm, applying the tourniquet far too tightly and choosing the basilic vein. As soon as she accessed the vein, it began to blow. Despite this, she continued the draw and collected four tubes while I started losing sensation in my arm and hand. For context, I am a phlebotomist with 10 years of experience, so I am very familiar with proper technique and patient safety. I regret not advocating for myself in that moment, because the situation was not handled appropriately. Unsurprisingly, I developed a hematoma almost immediately in a very sensitive area. She provided minimal bandaging--it didn't even stay on--and gave no aftercare instructions. I had to manage everything myself at home, including icing and proper care. I have already reported this experience directly to Quest Diagnostics through the appropriate channels. I was told that a supervisor would address the situation and that this employee would be shadowed for retraining. While I appreciate that this is being handled internally, I am sharing this publicly so others are aware and can make informed decisions--personally, I would recommend avoiding this phlebotomist at all costs, if possible. Came over with my elderly father for his blood test. I was happy to find out this new "hidden" location for Quest, clean very accessible and not much of a wait. The staff was attentive and she did a great job taking his blood. Information was easy to collect and she even gave us the requested test back, since my father wants to have copies on his file. Another waste of time at Quest. Apparently, I owed a few dollars from the previous visit, in which I never received a bill for. They would not draw my blood till I payed-up. no exceptions. Kind of lame since insurance is covering my test. Won't be coming back, ever. read more

UPLAND Location: All went very well with an appointment, staff very professional, only thing is that they should have reminded me to sit for a while if light headed or to drink water to hydrate since I had been fasting. I mention this because I fainted when I got home and I hurt myself. This place sucks horse Customer Service not very friendly not helpful at all. You're at the mercy of people that don't even care. Everybody in here is in need of medical care. You think they would have the decency to treat their with respect these employees are only collecting a paycheck, they can care less about the company and it's reputation. Love this place, never ever had an issue. Been going for years. No issues when you make have an appointment. ALWAYS called in within 5-10 min of your scheduled time. The phlebotomists are nice, kind and caring. They answer any questions I may have. Don't believe other reviews that they had an appointment and still waited over 2 hours. That's BS! Never ever waited more than 10 min. They text check in great. Highly recommend this place. My entire family goes here and will continue to go here. read more

If I could give a ZERO rating I would!!! Every time I make a "scheduled" appointment, I show up early and STILL WAIT 2+ HOURS before I am taken in to draw my labs. As I wait in the waiting room, the representative leaves the check-in area and never comes back, so there is no one to speak with until they come back at their leisure. They are also rude. read more

Arrived 10 minutes before my appointment for routine bloodwork as they requested I do so when I scheduled. Checked in and scanned my ID and insurance card. Was called back about 15 minutes after my allotted appointment time. I was called back and entered the first space. The woman who attended me was very friendly, very fast at finding a vein and very quick getting my blood. I rarely get anyone so good, so I was extremely impressed. It's been about 5 hours and I don't even have a bruise! Win win! read more

Dangerous This is for the young phlebotomist from Chicago who drew my blood. She filled 3 big vials and a small vial up to 75% with blood. I was really nervous and felt dizzy as she was drawing way too much blood. I have had a lot of blood work done each year. I have never seen anyone drew the vial pass 50%. I also told her that i had fasted for over 24 hours. My lab results started non-fast. read more

I had a very frustrating experience. I arrived at 5:15 a.m. as a walk-in, fully understanding that appointments take priority. However, after waiting for three hours without any update or being called in, I was extremely disappointed. If walk-ins are not truly accommodated, it would be more transparent to state clearly on the website that services are by appointment only. My company has Wellness Incentives where we would need to check our Biometrics screening through Quest Diagnostics. I came to this Upland location by home on an early Saturday morning without making an appointment, and I was surprisingly the second person on the waiting list. It was a brief wait since there was only one room to do the measurements and weighing. There was plenty of stations to draw blood, checking for blood sugar levels and cholesterol. Service was quick and to the point. The blood drawing could have been a bit more gentle. I usually give blood so I am even used to a bigger needle, but I really felt this one. Nevertheless I am grateful that they are open during the weekends at this Quest Diagnostics location so I was able to come and do my Biometrics screening without taking time away from work. I know a lot of people do that, but I always strive to be a good worker bee and avoid taking time off work whenever possible. read more

I haven't had bloodwork done in years and decided to go to this location. If you have an appointment, coming here is a very simple process. I made a morning appointment a few days ahead and was given email and text confirmation. For some reason it made two appointments for me at the same time, so the system may have glitched that day. I uploaded all my information in advance and an hour before arriving received a text message to click on a link when I arrive. I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment as recommended and checked in on their link which is way easier, I didn't even have to check in on their QR code. They don't have a front desk staff and just the digital check in station, but a woman did come out and went over a list of who was standby and who was appointment and helped anyone whos name wasn't called. The inside was clean and gave me DMV vibes, but it seemed like things moved pretty quickly. Maybe a couple minutes after my appointment time I was called in and the woman taking my blood was so friendly. I told her about my nervousness and how I've passed out in the past. She was very understanding and kept checking in on me while taking my blood. I was done pretty quick and received an email after with an option to create a Quest account and see my results in a couple days. This location was pretty busy for 9am on a weekday and most of the people were stand-by. I highly recommend making an appointment to get things done quickly and especially since there really isn't a front staff to talk to. The young ladies are rude and uninterested in our health or well being. It was very uncomfortable being there. I walked in with my elderly parent and thank goodness I did. When he didn't hear them they behaved as they were dealing with a stepchild. I feel really bad for the patients who are sent there. I spoke to others who have visited this site and I got the same type of experience. So why is nothing being done. These type of people should be working in a prison with the same personality types, not with the general public read more

Five stars!!! From the moment I walked in, everyone was accommodating and professional. I made the appointment on the Quest app just 20 minutes prior to my appointment time. The automated check-in process was a breeze! I only waited 3 minutes before being called back for my blood draw. Joanna was wonderful! It's extremely annoying and frustrating that I can't talk to an actual person on the phone when I have a question. The automated message even said they don't have the power to transfer me to a representative... what is the point of having a number to call then? Your automated messages can't answer the questions I have, yet I don't have a choice to talk to a human instead of a bot. Also saw a lot of reviews saying there was no one there at the time of their appointment in the morning... which makes me hesitant to even go there for my appt tomorrow morning at 6:30AM because I'm unsure if there'll be someone there to service me. Definitely not a fan of this lab. They don't have any front desk receptionist to process your orders beforehand. I had an appointment for 7:10am(I was fasting as well), I wasn't called back until 7:25. Only to go back & be told that my insurance didn't cover their lab. Something that could have been done by a receptionist, rather than wait all that time. Given there were also at least 10 other people waiting. They obviously have no care for patients time. Made an appointment at 7:40 am 2 days before the day of the appointment. Came at 7:30am and was not seen until 8:40 am. There is no receptionists to speak to and when I saw a phlebotomist walking by to ask what's happening they would ignore me. They kept taking people who came after I did and with a later appointment time. My name had still been on the screen so I had complained to a staff member that I was waiting an hour and have been getting skipped. When I finally saw a phlebotomist she had apologize and said that they just take people out of order all the time. Many of the other patients in the waiting room had the same issue of getting skipped repeatedly. Quest needs to reorganize this store. All other quests I have been to have been great! read more

I brought my 92 year year old dad in the rain for bloodwork and saw a man walking out the door, had an appointment and the doors were locked. The door says they are open until 2:00 pm but when I tried to get in at 10: 50 they ignored my pounding on the door. This place is useless! read more

Each phlebotomist who has drawn my blood at this location has worn the same gloves for typing on the computer as they used to drawn my blood (newsflash - computers are dirty - you need new gloves before drawing blood!) One phlebotomist failed to clean my arm with alcohol prior to drawing my blood. This is dangerous, lazy practice! read more

My 5 year old son has never got his blood token and he hates shots, they had him wait in the patient room with my 13 year old daughter. I wanted my son to come with me so he can see what it's going to be like so I can be with him, they were trying to have him go in a separate room. Do not recommend this place in upland. As a walk in, I waited an hour or so. I expected it. Staff was nice and waiting area is clean. Hand sanitizer is available at the front door. I'm a hard stick, but they got it on the first try. The next time I went, it took 3 sticks to get enough blood. My hand veins are small. I had no pain at all. I come here often and never had a negative occurrence. read more

Came here from a family doctor's referral (we used Lab Corp previously). To my surprise, this facility is very clean and organized than what we have been used to. No long waiting lines, and even if there are lots of people in queue, we were served first as we had appointments scheduled. Appointments were done via the app and/or the website - both of which was very user friendly. Sign in is mandatory and was very quick. A confirmation code helps speed up the sign in process (the code is provided during the appointment scheduling via the app/website). The lady at the front, Ashley, was very helpful and courteous; I can say the same for the lab technicians that helped us during each of our visits. They were all very knowledgeable and responsive to the questions we had. Very few establishments give me that positive vibe in terms of service from each employee we had contact with; a nice clean facility certainly helps. My expectations were not only met, but also exceeded from the visits we had here - would give this place a 6-star rating if it was possible. **My only pet peeve is that I seem to have trouble with the app in trying to see the results - having verification problems and contacting the 800 phone number only leads me to going in circles. If there is a customer rep reading this, I would appreciate some help on fixing this. read more

Willing to waste your time. Normally I have neutral or positive things to say, but after going here for years, I'm frustrated that they were unwilling to take the minimal communicative steps necessary to prevent me from wasting my time, particularly the bearded male office tech. I had family come watch my older child and took my infant in for a blood draw appointment. I was told the doctor's office failed to send the paperwork and unfortunately the office was closed for lunch for the next 1.25 hours. The female blood draw technician told me she'd put me on the list again for around the time the doctor's office reopened so my infant could still be seen. I came back after the 1.25 hours having called the office to make sure the paperwork was sent correctly and checked in with the bearded male tech at the front. I let him know the situation and he told me the female tech was with a patient, would be with me soon, and to have a seat. At first the people called were there before me so obviously they'd go first, then once multiple people who came after were called, the female tech left to go to lunch, and I didn't see my baby's name on the list of people to be seen, I went back to the front. THIS time the male tech told me that because my appointment had been earlier and the doctor had failed to have the paperwork I had missed it. They could "try" to fit me in, but needed to see people with appointments first and he recommended I reschedule as he didn't know how long I'd have to wait. It's hard to get a baby's blood drawn. It's traumatic for them, so me doing everything I can add a parent to make sure needs are meet prior to the appointment makes things go more smoothly. Babies need to have had a nap, eaten, been hydrated and be changed so it's easier to keep them still and reduce the trauma of the experience (which took 40 minutes, 6 stabs, and tons of screaming when my older child was infant), which are difficult enough to try to time, but then to tell me to come back later, make me sit and wait for 45 minutes with the expectation that we'd be seen, and then tell me to reschedule only when I asked about the wait time? Here's a better idea, tell me to reschedule the first time I'm there for the appointment the doctor messed up, or have the courtesy to tell me to reschedule when I check in again, don't tell me to come back and then make me sit there for 45 minutes with a progressively hungry and tired baby just to let me wait indefinitely... I don't appreciate having 2 hours of my life wasted or the willingness to just let my infant get hungry, exhausted and irritable without an end in sight. Just be straightforward and respectful the first time, or even when I checked in on round 2, don't just waste my time. read more

Leon was my phlebotomist and he was wonderful. He was calm, professional and considerate of my comfort. I appreciated that he talked to me while he was drawing blood to distract me from just staring at the needle-Not that it hurt! He did a great job, it was not painful and the blood draw was smooth and efficient. I found the whole process to be efficient actually. the facility was clean and comfortable. I made an appointment only 2 days beforehand and was happy to see how many slots were still open. And I whole-heartedly recommend getting an appointment! Can't stress that enough. There was a solid line for walk-in when I arrived at 9:30 am, so I wouldn't do walk-in, if possible. They prioritize appointments which are stacked pretty close to each other. If you walk-in, it's probably going to be a while and the line is outside, for Covid precautions. Overall, wonderful experience. I'd go with this Quest location again for sure. Terrible, no staff. Terrible check in process, staff doesn't know what their talking about and they skip over people because their short staffed always running behind. I tried to have patience with them but it's very frustrating. My appointment was at 2:20, a staff member told me to check in with a fake number to join the stand by list so hopefully I could be seen sooner. The kiosk gave me a number. An hour and a half later this lady comes out and said the system doesn't recognize numbers so I would have to get on the stand by list again putting me back at the bottom of the list regardless of them telling me what to do and not honoring my actual check in time. I leave and come back at 2pm the board says I'm checked in and that same lady takes three people ahead of me saying the system doesn't recognize me and I have to check in again regardless of the fact that I have been checked in for my 2:20 appointment since 11am. Last time I came 4 years ago I had the issue. read more

If i could rate this as zero stars I would. I have gone to this facility so many times in the past but today(6/18/21) I witnessed absolute rudeness from the employees. When I arrived 15 mins before my scheduled appointment, I fell in the long line to check in just for this lady to tell me that i need to come back in 10 mins. I came back (5 mins before my appointment) to then end up in another long line. The elderly man in front of me could not check in and was getting very frustrated with the ipad used to check in. There was no one behind the counter to assist and the line continued to grow. When a tall man finally appeared behind the counter, the elder man asked for assistance and without even considering that the man was old, the man behind the counter rudely said there was no one to help and that the elder man just needed to check in. He was obviously flustered and continued to struggle. The man behind the counter continued to speak very rudely to everyone coming up to the counter trying to check in. Whatever happened to customer service and just a general respect for the elderly! These employees need to get their attitude in check! I walked out annoyed with how they treat people! read more
